If Tomorrow Had a Price Tag

Sometimes, I usually imagine in my mind if I can just check through the future just like the way I check through my Gmail on my phone so easily. While I was growing up, back in the day, I heard some people say that they usually go to the fortune teller to check the future for them if it is good or bad. I never knew if what the fortune teller or the seer sees is very true, but a lot of people depended on that in those days because they saw it as something that is very harmless.

I have not seen it too, but let me and you just take this moment to picture a new invention in our minds where our future can be predicted with so much accuracy, no addition, no subtraction, not blurry. Just what is going to happen to us as time goes on? Just a new invention that will give us accurate predictions. Are you going to spend your money on it? Because as for me, the answer is a capital NO.

From my little experience here on earth and in my country too, I have gotten to know that even if I know too much, it can take away from the joy that I have. So it is better to live the moment than to have a device that is going to tell me that I will succeed or something bad will happen. That alone is enough to give someone high blood pressure. So it is just better for me to be going through each day as it comes with no much pressure than to give myself unnecessary pressure because I have seen the future. Because that can be too over choking for me.

So, for me, getting to see and know what will happen in the future will not give me the courage that I need again because I have seen it all; I have known what to do and what to avoid. Because if we reason it well, I think we are able to live life the way we are living it now because we do not know what will happen next. We are only hopeful, and that is why we have fears that prevent us from doing some things, and we have the hope that makes us stay guarded. And that is why if tomorrow has a price tag, I will use my money to buy beans and bread and eat.
