For everything we do in life, there is somehow an equal or opposite reaction to it. In my country there is this popular saying among us: karma will find a way to catch up with you and whatever you sow is what you will reap.
A lot of people do not believe in those words, but in a way, they are true, and that is why some of us have decided to always treat people nicely, respect those who are meant to be respected, and things like that.
I can remember there was this friend of mine back then in school. We were given one assignment that carried a lot of marks. I was able to finish on time and then gave mine to him to submit pending the time the lecturer would ask, but he failed to submit that day because he was absent and I was also absent.
But he lied to me that he had submitted them not until the lecturer came back to give a second chance for us to submit, but with a deduction of 5 marks; that was when I got to know that he did not submit them. I felt hurt, but I forgave him. However, during my final project, he tried to make up for it by helping me with my model. This made me remember that actions come in an unplanned manner.
Sometimes, karma is not something very obvious because it could come as a guilty conscience, loss of thoughts, sleepless nights, or lack of trust. And sometimes, it could be something very positive. But what I believe is that karma is not a punishment from the universe, but it is a consequence of our actions, either good or bad.
And anything I do in life, I let kindness lead, not because of anything else but because it pays to be kind. A small act of kindness speak volume.
Thank you for reading.
