First impression thoughts

It says not to judge a book by its cover, and I find nothing wrong with the statement because that should be like that. We should not judge anyone just by their physical appearance. And, just by appearance, it is not ideal to judge a person's capability, because no one knows what kind of person we are judging. There are many incidents where some people were like saints, but their work was evil and there were also incidents where one’s appearance wasn’t good but doing good work and were very kind.

But in the end, we are humans and we don’t care about what should be ideal. We love to judge others based on their physical appearance as well as judging a book by its cover and it’s the natural habit of a human according to my observation. Not every human is like that but at least I’m sure most of us are like that. The real fact is that many of us are just not ready to accept the truth because we always try to maintain a good image in front of everyone.

I agree that it’s not ideal to judge anyone by their appearance or in the first-time meeting, but I don’t deny it also that first impression matters a lot we mostly think about a person according to our first meeting as well as our first meeting. I guess the first meeting always gives us a deep impression and that always acts as the driving factor while we think about the person later. So even if we say not to judge a book by its cover but most of the time, we end up judging people depending on our first impression.

In my case I always try not to think about a person depending on first meeting because I feel that knowing a person is so easy. At least I don’t buy idea of first impressions because I am also a person who doesn’t love to represent myself as the genuine one in front of others. I’m very confident that I can even comfort my enemy with friendly vibes without alerting him. I can scheme with continuing good behaviors. I don’t have any ill intentions for people usually, but I don’t want to understand me as well as the real me easily. I am such a person and naturally I don’t buy anyone’s first impression as I know it can be a trap. At least I make sure that first impression not to make influence on later decisions if necessary.

I know not everyone is like me, but I am not ready to guard down either. Instead of it I think that sometimes we need to make decisions based on first impression. In the first impression I always try to focus on certain things. I notice if the person is polite and well behaved or not. How he talks I mean his tone while taking. I feel that some people are arrogant, which can be understood by how they talk and their tone of talking. I don’t know about others, but I can guess about it at least. The second thing is that I always focus on dress. I always try to keep distance from them who wear very expensive clothes. Again, I don’t get close to them who wear dirty clothes. Cleanliness is something I prefer most. Rich or poor doesn’t make any difference to me and in case of trust I don’t trust anyone easily and in the first meeting. At least there is no chance of trusting but I am sure I can doubt everyone in the first meeting because I don’t want any error in case of reading the movement of a person.
