How I TURNED MY HARVESTED CASSAVA INTO GARRI..PT2.!

in Homesteading2 days ago

We are in the center of the rains and it's affecting everything. ( Rainy season). Yesterday, it rained cat and dog in my city, almost none stop. That's part of the yearly seasonal events. We all know about it.
Sometimes, we enjoy them, some other times, we frown at them but it must surely happen, or take place.

I HARVESTED MY CASSAVAS PART 2,

METHOD OF TURNING CASSAVAS INTO GARRI.

I harvested my cassavas, peeled them, grinded them at the grinding mill, another machine pressed out the water inside it, I mean... the pressure machine, that's , it's job.

Then the grinded cassava in a pastry form is allowed to stay under that pressure machine for like 3 days, then you get the bag out from there because the substance inside has dried ready for sieving and frying. Another thing is the process of sieving and frying them into garri for our family use and swallows.

It's always both a long and busy thing to do, I don't do garri regularly. Only because I needed to replant cassava stems into my ridges in the farm. And having sold major part of the harvested cassavas, I decided to turn some of them, just a few of them into garri for further usage, it worked out as planned.

I had already agreed with someone people to come do it for me, both sieving of the dried grinded cassava and frying the same

Could you imagine... On that very morning, having set out all my apparatus for both sieving and frying, one of them decided otherwise and didn't show up for it

Only the young boy for sieving it came up for it. I had to let him do it and I then took up the tedious job of frying the sieved out cassava...😂, something I have not done for so, so many years now. I was still able to do it and get it very fine. It was amazing how I got it perfectly verry well. It's a thing of great joy for meeeee...😂😂😂, I was very happy to get it right

See me frying garri... Doing what I had not done for so many years.. 👍😎.

Thank you so much for coming to my blog, reading and commenting.
