Hello everyone,
It's been awhile, and It's about our time again to start writing about our seeds, plantings and harvesting experiences from our farms and gardens. Yes, that's emphatically the truth about this our lovely community, @homesteading... Thank you all and let's begin another round of planting for the year, 2026.
Dry season had earlier set in and there seems to be like little or not much was going on to write about. Now the planting season for 2026, has set in again. We have fully resumed classes, Life is rotational as planting and harvesting experiences are.
For more than two whole months now, I traveled out of my city. But before I traveled, I had done two very important things I should do because I knew that I would stay longer than just two months where I was going, so then I harvested my pumpkin fruits and some other fruits from my garden

Another very important thing I achieved was the replanting of my cement sack yam seedlings. it has become my yearly duty to plant yam seedlings in cement sacks. I showcased my harvest of them late last year, I had a bountiful cement sack yam harvest. I was totally impressed and very appreciative of God Almighty who gives quality harvests from our ordinary planted tiny seeds. Last year's harvest was really fine for me. I must acknowledge that.....💃😂.

Before I set out on my traveling journey, as I said earlier, I replanted my yam seedlings and was administering water to them in an alternative days. Sometimes, I will administer the water twice in a week, for them not to die off because of too much drought.
You know in our season over here, the Months of November, December till March the in coming year are all serious dry seasons, a kind of drought time. Plants are in terrible dried shapes looking for water without any.
That was why I began sprinkling water to my cement sack yam seedling bags twice a week or every other day. It really helped them, I was told recently that they have started sprouting. That made me so much happy to hear
Then I harvested my pumpkin fruits as you can see them in the farm before the harvest. I packed them also for this year's planting. I wish I could be home to my base this time so I can start planting them one after the other. This planting season has started fully

I will as well show us their level of sprouting and growth when I return to my base where they are.
Thank you for reading through my blog,
keep at it.
