Growing up, I have known some simple meals combinations and these are seen and known as normal food choices.
Like a swallow going with soup and a stew or sauce going with a rice or any staple food.
But when I went to the boarding house in secondary school that was when I unlocked the first weird food combo.
I don't know who started it, but someone encouraged it was cool, then I tried it out and damn it was indeed good.
We are served the normal porridge beans and pap in school.
I didn't like beans then and the ones they prepared for us was not delicious at all.
This taste was confirmed by beans lovers which made me to calm down, knowing it wasn't because I disliked beans that made me avoid school beans.
The pap was just a no no as well, though they try to add some sugar to it making it a bit tasty.
Now, a normal human being would eat the beans and pap in a serving but in different plates.
But, we could mix the two together in a plate and eat it, this is the only way we enjoy it.
Trust me, it's so much delicious this way.
This was my first weird food combo.
I enjoy my melon soup with any swallow of my choice but a friend of mine introduced me to rice with melon soup.
Hmmm
Initially, I said never will I, looking at it alone wasn't palatable to me.
But when I tried it, I shouted mad oo😋
It was just delicious and has become my favorite.
Have you tried sweet potatoes with noodles?
Yes, it's another one I tried and fell in love with.
Just made sure you add enough fresh pepper to it, and don't allow the water to dry up.
Make it to be in a porridge form and thank me later.
I won't forgive Franca for making me to eat rice and okra.
Like,no nah.
The rice was just drawing with the okra.
I thought I could have enjoyed it oo, the way I enjoyed the melon soup and okra.
But no, this is not just good.
It was as if I was eating vomit.
Never again.
