PSL 2026: Current Standings and Stats Update
I've been following PSL 2026, and honestly, the stats are getting really interesting. And once again, I'm sharing the most recent PSL stats with you guys. Let me break them down in a simple way.
If you've been following along, thank you. If you're new, welcome. Let's go.
Points Table
Let's start with current standings.
Right now, Peshawar Zalmi are just running away with this tournament. Seven wins from eight games, 15 points, and an NRR of +2.911. Nobody is close to them. Multan Sultans are second with 12 points, and Islamabad United are third with 9. At the bottom, Rawalpindiz have played eight games and lost all eight. Zero points. That is rough.
There’s still a tight race between Lahore Qalandars, Hyderabad Kingsmen, and Karachi Kings for a playoff spot. Even though Lahore Qalandars have 8 points, a couple of poor performances could put them in a difficult position. Still, I’m backing Lahore Qalandars. After all, it’s my home team.
Top Run Scorers
This is basically a two-man race, and both of them play for Peshawar Zalmi.
Kusal Mendis is leading the runs chart with 413 runs and has been the MVP of the season so far. He is just destroying bowlers every time he walks out. His best knock was a stunning 109 off just 52 balls against Karachi Kings, where he and Babar Azam put on a massive 161-run partnership as Peshawar Zalmi managed to post 246/3. Karachi were bowled out for 87 in reply. That was a 159-run win. Unbelievable.
Babar Azam is right behind with 401 runs at an average of 100.25. He smashed a century off just 52 balls against Quetta Gladiators; one of the fastest hundreds of his career. Babar has been on a completely different level this season.
Hasan Nawaz of Quetta is third with 288 runs, then Fakhar Zaman with 282, and Sahibzada Farhan with 269.
Hundreds and Top Scores
Three centuries in the tournament so far, and all three are special.
Kusal Mendis-109 vs Karachi Kings
He became the first Sri Lankan to score a century in PSL history.
Sahibzada Farhan-106 (Not Out) vs Hyderabad Kingsmen
Scored an unbeaten 106 off 57 balls for Multan Sultans chasing down a huge target of 226. He just outclassed Hyderabad's bowlers, smashing eight sixes in that innings.
Babar Azam-100 (Not Out) vs Quetta Gladiators
His century against Quetta comes third, followed by his 87 (Not Out) also against Karachi Kings.
Most Boundaries
Mendis leads with 57 boundaries, which makes total sense when you watch how he bats. Babar Azam is second with 48, Fakhar Zaman third with 46. Sahibzada Farhan and Sameer Minhas are tied on 40 each.
Most Wickets
Sufiyan Muqeem of Peshawar Zalmi is running away with the bowling charts too; 17 wickets already, four more than Shaheen Afridi, who is second with 14. A left-arm wrist spinner taking wickets at under 10 average in T20 cricket is just special. Hasan Ali has 11, then Iftikhar Ahmed and Mohammad Amir both have 10.
Best Bowling Figures
Two bowlers share the top spot with 4/18 each.
Shaheen Afridi- 4/18 vs Peshawar Zalmi
Even in a losing game, Shaheen showed his class.
Asif Mehmood- 4/18 vs Islamabad United
Bowling for Hyderabad Kingsmen, he took four wickets in the final over on his PSL debut. That is some way to announce yourself. Hyderabad won the match by 6 wickets.
Iftikhar Ahmed- 4/21 vs Hyderabad Kingsmen
Third on the list, followed by Hasan Ali with 4/27 and Faisal Akram with 4/31 for Quetta Gladiators.
So far, Peshawar Zalmi are the team of the League with both bat and ball. If they keep this up, the playoff teams are going to have a really hard time stopping them. 🔥
