As a Chelsea fan, I have been closely following the Trevoh Chalobah transfer rumours for weeks now, and to be honest, I'm not surprised that the talks with Como have hit a dead end.
From the reports, Chelsea and Como could not reach an agreement despite several rounds of negotiations. Como have already seen two bids rejected, and even after another meeting, both clubs remain far apart in their valuation. Chelsea are reportedly asking for £30 million, and it looks like the club has no intention of dropping that price significantly.

I personally think Chelsea's stance makes sense.
Chalobah may not always be the first name on the team sheet, but whenever he's been called upon, he has shown professionalism and commitment. Over the years, he has worked under different managers and has rarely complained about his role. Players with that kind of attitude are valuable, even if they are not regular starters.
That said, I have also believed for quite a while that this summer could be the right time for him to move on. The speculation linking him with Como has been around for some time, and I honestly thought a deal would eventually happen. At this stage of his career, regular first-team football is probably what he needs most, and I don't think he will consistently get that opportunity at Chelsea with the competition for places in central defence.
However, if another club wants to sign him, they also have to respect Chelsea's valuation. Chalobah is still under contract, and with two years remaining plus an option for another year, Chelsea are under no pressure to sell him cheaply. Selling an experienced homegrown defender below market value simply would not be good business.
If Como truly believe he is the player to strengthen their defence, they will either have to come back with a better offer or look elsewhere. Reports already suggest they are considering other options, which is understandable if they can't meet Chelsea's asking price.
As a fan, I will support whatever decision benefits both the club and the player. If Chalobah stays, I know he'll continue giving his all whenever he's needed. If he eventually leaves, I'll be grateful for everything he's contributed since coming through Chelsea's academy and wish him nothing but success in the next chapter of his career.
But for now, though, it seems this transfer saga is far from over, and I will be watching closely to see whether Como return with an improved bid or Chelsea receive interest from another club.
