That's just the nature of football sometimes. We think how did a certain team lost a certain match, but when we compared other top team facing the same challenges but managed to scaped through just like France did then we begin to understand just like you did. The reason why I love football is because is funny and unpredictable just like life.
Though, I still believe that the German team is lacking top players at this moment and those that are top players among them are currently not in their best form.
Their is a rumour that Jurgen klopp is the one to take over. Maybe we might witness an upgrade to the team.
Klopp will take over by 99% - if that changes a lot we will see - I would get rid of some internal association structure first at DFB
