Reading your article I was “mentally transported” to the late 80's and 90's when I was a OS Unix server administrator and also some Linux severs... Mounting and unmounting raw partitions all the time was a frequent thing!... hehehehe :))... Doing all this from the prompt I called it “Working by pipe” and when the graphical interfaces arrived we "old school guys" used to say: “I still work by pipe” hahaha :)) Good times those!...
