Pets and the Choice I Kindly Decline

Good day esteemed readers and judges, I appreciate this opportunity to share my honest thoughts.

Pets are often seen as lovely companions, but my view about them is very different, especially when it comes to exotic pets. To be sincere, I am not a fan of pets at all, whether common ones like dogs and cats or exotic ones like snakes and lions. The idea of keeping any of them does not appeal to me.

For regular pets like dogs and cats, the first thing that comes to my mind is the cost of keeping them. Feeding, medical care, grooming, and daily attention require money and time. Life is already demanding, and surviving daily is not easy. I do not even eat to my satisfaction all the time, so adding a pet to that stress feels unnecessary and unfair. It becomes a burden instead of joy.

Another strong reason is fear. I am genuinely afraid of dogs, and even cats make me uncomfortable. Keeping a pet you are scared of does not make sense. A home should feel safe and calm, not like a place where you are always on edge.

When it comes to exotic pets like snakes or lions, the answer is a clear no. These animals are dangerous by nature. Bringing such creatures into a living space feels risky and unreasonable. No matter how trained they claim to be, instinct remains instinct.
For me, peace of mind matters more than ownership of any pet, common or exotic.
No pictures of pets since it ain't my thing.
Thanks for reading ✌️

Yep they can be a bit expensive some times, especially when they get older
