I believe that likeness should precede love as there is no such thing as love at first sight like we see in movies

Haven't thought about it in that way. Maybe it's because I've always thought that if you like someone, you also have some kind of affection for that person, not necessarily romantic but also platonic. It's just that I find it very difficult to think that you can love someone you don't like.
