I love nature, the beauty that invades us every day, its colors, its shapes, its scents, and above all, the extraordinary phenomenon that nothing is static; everything is ever-changing and magical.
Flowers fill us with joy. They give you a feeling of happiness and spiritual balance. In this case, the Freesia Refracta, with its bright yellow flowers adorning the garden of my friend Venecia's house, emits a refreshing aroma with a subtle citrus-terpene aroma.

I'd like to tell you that the name Freesia was given in honor of Friedrich Heinrich Theodor Freese (1795-1876), a German physician from Kiel, by his botanist friend Christian Friedrich Ecklon.
The trend of using freesia notes in fragrances began when Antonia Mahoney-Bellanca released her perfume “Antonia Flores” in 1984 (the year I was born), using freesia as the main note.

Other perfumes that include freesia in their scent notes are Calvin Klein Eternity, Clinique Happy, and Lancome Miracle. This means that this flower, which is very common here in Brazil, is used by major brands to give their perfumes that citrus fragrance that I love so much.
I had the opportunity to capture this beautiful little bee pollinating the flower. I was incredibly excited to see it. I thought it would be bothered by my proximity, but it wasn't. There were many bees on the flowers, and their scent so captivated me that I felt like I was on cloud nine, floating alongside the butterflies.
