El día de hoy vengo a contarles un poco acerca de una noche que tuve hace unos días donde hice algunas infusiones que ustedes saben que a mí me gustan mucho jejeje. En este caso es una mezcla entre flor de Jamaica, malojillo (hierba Luisa) y un poco de Hierbabuena. Además de eso también vine a estrenar un pequeño colador que me regaló mi esposa que está muy bonito además de una taza que ella escogió especial para mí jejeje. Espero que les guste...

Today I'm here to tell you a little about a night I had a few days ago where I made some infusions that you know I really like, hehe. In this case, it's a mix of hibiscus flower, lemon verbena, and a little bit of spearmint. I also came to try out a small strainer my wife gave me, which is very pretty, as well as a cup she chose especially for me, hehe. I hope you like it...
Bueno éstos son los ingredientes que usaremos, hace poco compré una bolsa de hierba Luisa que son 50 gramos, otra de flor de Jamaica que son unos 50 también (no recuerdo bien) y la hierbabuena buena que usaremos solo algunas hojas. No les dejo un cálculo exacto puesto que yo las infusiones suelo hacerlas al ojo porciento y en lo personal me gustan las infusiones más fuertes.
Well, these are the ingredients we'll be using. I recently bought a bag of 50 grams of lemon verbena, another bag of hibiscus flower, also about 50 grams (I don't remember exactly), and spearmint, which we'll only use a few leaves of. I won't give you an exact calculation, since I usually make infusions by eye, and I personally like stronger infusions.
Este colador está muy bonito, sirve bastante dosificar las especias y bueno me funciona para echarle el agua caliente arriba y se va destilando las especias. Quedan bastante claritos los tés, cuando dejas el agua alta alcanza las especias y les va extrayendo sus propiedades curativas.
This strainer is very pretty; it's very useful for measuring spices, and it works well for pouring hot water into it, allowing the spices to distill. The teas are quite clear; when you leave the water at the top, it reaches the spices and extracts their healing properties.
Las dejé de esta forma y después de reposar el agua por unos minutos ya estaba listo.
I left them like this and after the water rested for a few minutes it was ready.
Luego procedí a hervir directamente la Jamaica para hacerla más fría para el otro día. La verdad es que usé muy pocos pétalos y ya pintaba bastante bien.
I then proceeded to boil the hibiscus directly to make it cooler for the next day. The truth is, I used very few petals, and it already looked pretty good.
Está es la primera infusión, yo en lo personal esperaba que estuviese más fuerte de color pero cuando la probé estaba muy rica y se me olvidó mencionar que le agregué un poco de azúcar y limón que le dió un toque muy rico.
This is the first infusion, I personally expected it to be stronger in color but when I tried it it was very rich and I forgot to mention that I added a little sugar and lemon which gave it a very nice touch.
Y está es la Jamaica que herví aparte, solamente le agregué limón porque quería mantener el sabor de la Jamaica y como era para tomarse fresca como bebida fría la dejé reposar y así quedó.
And this is the Jamaica that I boiled separately, I only added lemon because I wanted to maintain the Jamaica flavor and since it was to be taken fresh as a cold drink, I let it sit and that's how it stayed.
