I thought.... Broccoli was supposed to be an alkaline / neutral prone food.... according to Google Gemini... due to its closeness to ph7
However, when it comes to gastritis patients, that's a different ball game. You can't based on general facts, but instead it is needful to cater to each stomach's needs.

And in this case, the broccoli failed us.
And apparently Broccoli, my mom's favourite food, is closer to ph7 at the acidic side.
Hence, even with the help of The "Helper", with properly washed broccoli, blended with mushroom stock and salt-to-taste, it wasn't working for my mom.
There are much to learn when the stomach is ingredient sensitive. Even the slightest pinch of pepper, for a normal person is an enhance flavour and a "hug" to the body, but for digestive sensitive patient, it could feel like acid pouring into the stomach.
And while others, wheat is glut and can cause indigestions, but with tiny-tiny portions with soft starchy food, it sooths the stomach.
This is such a journey to work on as my mom's stomach is very "temperamental". The "Goldilocks" milk that was supposed to be mom's best friend, has become its recent enemy. 🥲
So off I go, continuing to search for another optimal brew for my mom, and perhaps, after a while, we can round back to the milk again.
Until Then
