Ah, OK, I see. Why would people just decide to randomly burn HIVE or HBD? That seems counterproductive to the max. πππβ¨π€

I don't think that someone on Hive burning HIVE or HBD is random, but on purpose. π€π€― For example, someone who accidentally published a post twice will burn the rewards of the duplicated post (usually the one with the lower total rewards) to make it "fair for the community". π₯π€―π€

I guess that I can see the reasoning in that, though if that happened to me, it would be very difficult for me to intentionally destroy either, and as such, I really hope that it never happens to me. πππβ¨π€

Do you mean that even if you accidentally published the same post twice, you won't burn any of the rewards there (even from the post with the lower rewards)? π€π€―π

I didn't say that I wouldn't, but only that it would be very difficult. πππβ¨π€

I wonder why it would be very difficult to burn the rewards from a duplicated post, especially since you (and anyone else) can easily see how much author rewards you have received from any of the duplicated posts !INDEED. π€πΈπ₯π€―π

That's understandable. π€π§ββοΈ At least, rare occurrences of duplicated posts are ignored by people on Hive, even by those who love using the flag button. π§ββοΈπ€

That's very good to know, because I do everything in my power to prevent it from happening. πππβ¨π€
