Seriously, the last time I watched a BTS music video, I felt like I had it all figured out. Their energy, their smiles, their personalities, it is impossible not to feel lighter after watching them.
Then I watched a BLACKPINK video, and wow… I can’t even explain the joy it gave me. There is something about the way they move, the way they own the screen, that just makes me smile. And honestly, sometimes I don’t even know why.
I’ve been into K-pop for a while, but I never thought a music video could have this kind of effect. It is more than the songs or the choreography. Watching them actually heals. It feels like a little pause button for my brain, the stress melts away, worries fade, and suddenly, I just feel happy after a moody day.
BTS has this warmth that feels so personal. Their videos are full of laughter, playful gestures, and moments that feel real. Even with perfect choreography, there is always room for a silly face, a wink, or a random move that makes me grin. Watching them is like spending time with friends who just get you.
BLACKPINK, though… they hit joy differently. Their videos are bold, stylish, and full of energy, but underneath all that shine, there is this spark that makes you smile without thinking. Lisa’s energy, Jennie’s charm, Rosé’s emotion, Jisoo’s presence, it all hits at once. I catch myself smiling mid-video and think, “I don’t even know why, but I’m happy.”
Now I realize watching these videos is like medicine for my mind. BTS brings warmth, BLACKPINK brings fierce joy, and both reset me in ways I didn’t expect. K-pop has always been more than music for me, but now I understand, it’s a little burst of happiness, right when I need it.
So yeah, I don’t know why it works, but it does. BTS and BLACKPINK aren’t just music, they are experiences that leave me smiling, sometimes for no reason at all. And honestly? That’s something I didn’t know I needed.
