Solitude: My Safe Haven-LOH #290

in Ladies of Hive23 hours ago (edited)

Every day grind comes with its very busy schedules that I hardly have time for myself. Even weekends that I specifically scheduled for less work and more self time these days have been gradually overtaken by the same work. Being free from normal business work does not actually imply being completely free from work , because house chores carry its huge responsibility too.

Most times I do not have free time but with intentionality I navigate my way with caution to create one. That's where wisdom sets in; balancing work stress and house chores with rest. As ignoring to create balance might force the body to take it when it could no longer bear it. Sometimes I take some days off work to see a movie or watch football with my family, to clear my head and relax my nerves.

Those are what I perceive to be rest, aside from my usual sleep time, when I don't have to bother myself with work, on what and what not to do. But my favorite safe haven is being in a serene environment alone, free from distraction, observing and feeling nature's warm embrace. Admiring God's creation and at the same time, interacting with my inner self.

Reason being that, it affords me the opportunity to have deep reflection on how I'd been carrying on with life. One, with my personal life, weighing what areas need total reset with immediate attention and that which needs time to adjust. Two, to examine my relationship with others, what needs to improve on and what needs to stop, for my well - being. Three, my approach to work, if it has a positive or negative effect on my health, and…

Lastly, my limited free time. How I use it. If it's profitable to add value towards achieving my dream and set goals. And most importantly, my spiritual well being. Which of course is the basis of my whole essence. I usually come out stronger and energized after every moment of solitude. I think it's my favorite safe haven to go to.

Sometimes, it seems like the 24 hours is no longer enough due to complete the day's tasks. At every corner you look, one task or another is waiting for you. Ah!
If you're not careful, you'll spend the whole day navigating from one task to another, without taking a break.

At the end, you might break down.

Seriously, one needs to include me-time moments at their favorite spots or haven, while planning their schedule, Very important. Life no get duplicate o.
!BBH

Exactly! Life no get duplicate. The most painful reality is that tasks never get to finish. So, one has to apply caution before it finishes one.

Thanks immensely for that important input.

Estar en soledad y estar con uno mismo son cosas que no todo el mundo logra, ayuda mucho con la autorregulación. Que linda publicación, saludos ✨
