Greetings 👋
Starting a business never looked difficult to me because I grew up in a family that dealt in a lot of businesses. I have always had a good business acumen, able to discern what goes and what does not.
Running a business became second nature to me. My parents were into transportation business, running a restaurant and bar and also dealing in sales of jewelry (this was my mum's specialty).
So to respond to the prompt posed by the #ladiesofhivecommunity, I would surely love to walk the same paths as my parents did because I know that I'll be good at it.

My preferred choice of business would be transportation business. To many people, this business comes with a lot of risks especially in a country like mine. Transportation business can also seem like a hassle but if managed effectively, it can be very lucrative.
If money and other administrative resources were not an issue, I would surely venture into transportation business and my niche would be inter-state transport.
My country is blessed with a vast and rich ethnicity and this has its advantages during certain seasons and festivals because many people would want to travel down to their homelands to celebrate with their loved ones.
At this period, they are not bothered about the transportation fare and rate as long as they can safely travel to their homelands. Just last month, many families in my area travelled from Lagos to different states. They complains a lot about how high the transport fare was but even with their complaints, they still paid and travelled down.
A particular family of seven paid almost half a million naira in transport alone and they would still pay something similar when returning back to Lagos this January. Ordinarily, the fare isn't supposed to be that much but because of the season, the transportation companies took advantage to hike their prices.

With the right logistics, team, connections and network, transportation business is a really good business to venture into. I know that at the initial stage, it might seem huge but I am one person who knows that every business needs ample time for it to attain buoyancy.
Inter-state transport also encompasses just moving people alone. It covers moving goods as well. Notall states in my country have ports, hence goods that come in through seaports need to be transported by road to its final destination. This is also an advantage for rheode companies that deal in inter-state transportation because they carry goods and get paid twice as much as when they're conveying humans from one state to another.
Venturing into this business requires a lot of capital and trust me I'm not kidding at all when I say a lot of capital. Getting good vehicles, getting honest and serious drivers for each vehicle, having a stand-by service and maintenance team plus other logistics staff is highly important. All these that I have mentioned requires heavy capital to start but who knows, maybe in the nearest future I'll start with one vehicle and watch it grow.
