Greetings everyone 👏
Hobbies are activities we partake in for fun, pleasure and relaxation, anything outside of work, career pursuits and academics.
We all have one or more hobbies that we indulge in to derive pleasure and relax during our leisure time. My hobbies are reading and singing but I still love watching movies too during my leisure.
But in response to the #loh prompt for this week, I will be revealing that one hobby I wish I could incorporate into my hobbies list but can't.
I truly admire this hobby especially when I see others enjoying themselves at it but for me, I can only watch and let my mouth drool with longing. I drool as I watch each player sweat, not from exhaustion but from sheer pleasure.
This hobby is none other than ping pong. In my locale, it is referred to as table tennis. Right from my childhood days, I have not been able to get a hang of how to play it.

When I hold a bat, it is like the bat has a mission not to cooperate with me and I end up not being able to touch the ball with it.
I have tried several times to learn how to play ping pong but it usually ends in me losing 9 out of ten times. So what did I do, I totally ignored the board, bat and ball…. like they cared anyway.
But that didn't stop my longing for it. I love watching kids in my area gather around a ping pong table to play on weekends. I even quietly cheer for the winning team, imagining that I belong to that team, hehe.
Is there such a thing as a phobia for a moving ball? Cause I can't quite place my finger on the reason why I suck at playing ping pong yet I admire it so much.
Maybe I will just stick to my books and my voice and chill while admiring those who are able to ping pong a ball (winks).
