Reading "Cryptonomicon" by Neal Stephenson from 1999, p459. This "email" reads like a bunch of technical gibberish, which I think it is, but it reminded of the #bitcoin quantum computer threat (or hoax, depending on you persuasion).

        One of my favourite books that I will read again some time. I think Bruce Schneier consulted on some of the cryptography, but not sure about that bit. Technology has moved on since then.

              I think it's pretty amazing he wrote this 10 years before bitcoin.
