Beats any bank anyway... and with Dollar loosing about 15% percent of its value this year, it will simply mean you're reducing your loss on the inflation of the Dollar.

After 20% (because of the current config) debt, there is a protection that prevents more HBD from being created from HIVE and at the same time, posts switched from HBD to HIVE liquid author rewards.
People will refer to it as "haircut" feature.
I have deposited a certain amount into an anonymous account to prove to myself that it works. In a few years lets see... So far, not regretting. As in the bank, I would have less right now.
But you make your own choices. Also, take into consideration that if you want to take it out soon after, it's not worth it. Because usually the method will imply some fees for the move.
Cheapest is via exchanges, obviously. But you might find P2P people too.
