There's a lot of great content on Hive. The biggest problem is unless someone is part of a specific community, following a specific person or the post starts trending, it will largely go unnoticed. That can be disappointing for someone who puts a lot of work into a post only to receive no comments, views or upvotes.
If we're honest, all of the major frontend search features are terrible. Even if they find something relevant, it may not even be remotely current. It's out of this frustration that I turned to AI for a solution. I'm not a coder. I built websites when I was a teen, but the majority of that involved basic HTML, some PHP and minimal Javascript.
I asked Gemini AI to code a simple HTML page that can be run to look for posts in the most popular Hive communities. I told it to only show me posts less than 24 hours old and let me choose to exclude posts based on a payout cutoff of my choosing. Then, I asked it to also show me the author's lifetime KE score for reference, and the total payout amount of the post.
The idea is I want to curate content with low payouts for people with a low KE score. I want to reward those who aren't getting a lot of upvotes but are showing they're committed to Hive and not just cashing out all of their rewards. What it gave me is simple, but it works.
Say I want to find posts on Ecency under 24 hours old with a payout of less than 5 HBD. No problem! It does it for me!
I can set the payout amount as low as I like.
I uploaded it to my personal Github and then made it a dedicated page. Then, I run that page in Keychain so I can simply upvote the post once I'm done reading it. I start here to curate people who are trying. After that's done, then I go and catch up on what my friends and others I follow are doing and curate them.
