These two are not interchangeable. Being a minimalist is often quite pricey :) Less stuff, better quality, often multi-purpose things that cost more than the common junk.
Maybe, but when I see all the stuff occidentals have at home, I feel that many of them are more for ego than for need and cost are rarely pegged to quality 😉
