Last flowers of the season? Well, not at all- I still see there are some roses blooming on the city lawns, but on the other hand - yes, these nasturtiums are the last flower beauties to entertain me. When we were returning from a trip out of town, we saw an old woman selling these flowers. I couldn't resist the temptation; I bought the whole bouquet and spent several days gazing at them on my dining room table. It still sits there, and the spare buds continue to bloom, replacing the drooping ones. Looking at the leaves, I remember with all my might why the Art Nouveau artists loved these flowers so much. I'm in the same boat with them!
Когда мы возвращались из поездки за город, то увидели бабушку-цветочницу продававшую эти цветы. И я не смог избежать искушения, купил весь букет и несколько дней имел удовольствие разглядывать их на моем обеденном столе. Он и сейчас там стоит, и запасные бутоны продолжают цвести и сменять поникшие бутоны. Глядя на листья, я вспоминаю в полную силу, почему артисты ар-нуово так любили эти цветы - и я нахожусь с ними в одной лодке, это совершенно точно! (хоть и не рисую).
