Discord was the place. The problem with Hive for communication is that it is all frontend doing their thing, which is great if there were lots of users. A true common message and chat feature would be huge
The chat has been there, but not sure how many people actually want to use it. I use it a lot, my waves is full of posts about the topics. Also the fragmentation of using ecency or peakd. I DM people here on ecency but they never get it because they use peakd.
That is what I mean about the fragmentation. We all have different front ends, so there is no point using chat if people don't get it.
Well people that use that same front end should at least be able to communicate. Like we talking right now, you already know I am using ecency. IF you are using it, you know I will get your DMs. But I don't many people want to take it there. And this has been on for a while, from rocketchat, I think Hive doesn't connect well from the authors to the readers, otherwise you will see a dynamic like on Youtube where influencers have and enjoy the chat and consolidate an audience.
