Foreword
Good day everyone! Would like to do a quick update on my Hive Saving Goal and its progress. Incidentally the month of May is like the month where Star Wars fans celebrate and may the force be with us to drive us further towards our goals. External market situation is in a bad shape with tariffs and all looming and that is why savings is the key right now.
2025 Goal Progress Check
Primary Goal: Reaching 18k HP by 31st December 2025
Secondary Goal: Stretch primary goal and push towards 20k HP by 31st December 2025

While I did had a relatively strong month of growth, the delta is still very big, needing consistently big growth each month to reach my goals. The only thing I can wish for is to grow and compound the HP for stronger curation and growth. There were a couple of days last month which I really felt very tired and could spell signs of fatigue and burn out. Hence it is better to rest than to experience burn out which will lead days with down time. So hopefully this will be a better month.
Enablers for Goal
There are a couple of things that have worked well for me in 2024 and I know these are key enablers for my goal in 2025. Let's go through them 1 by 1.
Blogging on Hive Blockchain
This has always been the biggest source of HP growth and the need to be consistent in writing and curation. Will continue to stay strong in this and try to grow accordingly.
Layer 2 Token Management
While blogging continue, it is not just hive that we gained from writing, with the correct use of tags based on their rules and adding them to our blog post, we also gain respective layer 2 coins as well during payout. Most of these coins are tribe tokens and some of them do give additional drips of other layer 2 tokens. Such coins are good to stake to get more of others. Otherwise, selling them and getting other tokens that can help yield passive hive helps boost my Hive savings as well. Here is how my passive hive building tokens that drip hive or swap.hive are doing right now.
Liquid Hive Sources:
Holding EDSI tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.105 HIVE per week.
Holding DAB tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.005 HIVE per day.
Holding SIM tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.022 HIVE per day.
Holding BRO tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.019 HIVE per week.
This totals up to 0.313 HIVE per week is a continuous drop as seen from last month. This is not a good sign with these passive liquid hive layer 2 tokens not doing well. As credit to a sharing from a friend, in order to continue get DAB token from lottery, I will need substantial amount of DBOND which means I will either buy in to more DBOND to generate more DAB or probably abort holding on to DAB and focus on other passive that yield higher. The collection might be trimmed down to focus on SIM which I will mention in a later segment and potentially continue building up EDSI and BRO.
SWAP.HIVE Sources:
Holding BBH tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.00802 SWAP.HIVE per week.
This is a slow and steady growth, though not super huge but growth is never a bad thing and I will continue working on this.
dCity.
This is the biggest piece of the pie of my liquid passive where my accumulation in passive hive. Active managing and seeking ways to improve SIM income in the game will allow me to hold more SIM and subsequently gather more daily liquid hive drip. While the initial setup may take a little while and require a small amount to kickstart, it is growing stably, successfully ROI and I am working toward much more SIM income on a daily basis and growing my SIM holdings. There is definitely potential in this as I will continue to swap out layer 2 coins that I have no immediate purpose into SIM to improve my daily liquid hive income. So far, I like how I can gather more liquid hive and at the same time experience an interesting city building game.

HSBI
In last month's post, I did share on Rollercoin which helped grow some passive mainstream crypto which I might pull in to reach my goal. Closing
Delta to savings goal is huge and I want to see how to close that gap and get back on track. Hopefully the curation discussion will settle down soon, the worry is fewer people on the chain because of all the rumbling. I will continue to focus and work on the savings and also to continue interacting with people on blog post, ecency waves and peak snaps.
