Wow such fantastic homes! Definitely not what you would immediately picture as Chicago.

I just love the old homes and it is even better when you uncover the stories like you have. I really should take an afternoon and capture and share some of the century homes in this neat little town.

        I'd love to see some of the old homes in your town!

        A new years after the Great Chicago Fire an ordinance was passed requiring all homes to be built of brick or stone. Many of these frame houses were built during the grace period before the ordinance was passed
