Almost two years ago a co-worker told me that there was a mother in a hospital giving away a child, and that I should please go see her to see if I could adopt him....

The thing is that the lady had alcoholism problems and mistreated her baby, and by that time she had already given away a girl too...but on many occasions she harassed the lady who picked up her little girl.... with that situation I could do nothing, because the state ignores the situation of the minor and does not remove those children from the danger that their mother represents for them...... and that is a crime on the part of the state as well.

It is terrible the things that happen in the world with the responsibility that corresponds to the society about these abused children.
And the lower down the social ladder the cases can be worse.

Yes you're right, it's often those at the lower end of the socio-economic ladder who do such things but it's not exclusive to that group. That aside, I think it's important to remember that this is parents doing these things to their own children. It's disgusting.

People who are capable of harming their own children do not deserve to live...death penalty with them, but life imprisonment.
But crimes like that still happen in many places because societies should be more zealous and careful with children.

I'm not a fan of life imprisonment...too costly, thrown off a high cliff is a better option.

And to make things worse, many who claim social benefits in UK seem to pump out kids quicker than making a loaf of bread, and then rely on the state to look after them, whereas many couples from good backgrounds struggle to have kids to give them a loving life

I've seen that as a very common phenomenon in the U.S., it's like it's a family business....triste.

They should subsidize couples who try to have children, at least one, and put limits on those who believe that having children is a millionaire sport.

So much madness in this world.
