There have been a lot of changes happening on Hive lately, and it's put me in a slight funk. It's nothing major and is more of a passing thought than anything, but I think it's one worth exploring. Instead of running from what we think are unpleasant, sad or "bad" thoughts, I think there's healing in recognizing them. Lately my thoughts have been dwelling on the past and the thought that if I could go back in time and change things, would I?

Hive is a great place. I love the communities, and I've come to call quite a few of them "home." I've met some great people along the way, but some have since gone on to other things.
It's All About People
My first thought goes back to @freecompliments and the community he built. It's still going even after almost a year to the date of him exiting Hive. It's a great legacy to leave behind, but his presence is missed.
Despite all of the chaos he caused, Ray, the creator of BRO, is one I also wish I could step back in time and stop the collapse and fallout that happened. Fortunately, people like @bozz and @dbooster stepped in and created The Pub. True to its name, it's been a great place to hang out with everyone, chat and unwind.
Lastly is @hurtlocker. He's not gone just yet, but he's exiting Hive and pursuing other things. He's someone who shares my interest in investing and appreciates my messed up sense of humor. Just like others, I'll be sad to see him go and I wish him all the best.
Clarity
For those who don't know me, I'm not one to give up. Whatever kicks me down just makes me want to get up again and keep going. I refuse to give up and will not lose. Even if Hive were to suddenly cease to exist and someone asked me, "Knowing what you do now, would you do it all again," my answer would be, "Absolutely."
The people, the chats, the laughter, the comraderie, the shared tears and the anger. It all makes it worth it, regardless of what some numbers on a screen say HIVE is "worth."
I think the best thing anyone can do with a chance to change the past it to leave it alone. Instead, I'm focusing on the future. In honor of them and other people on Hive who've come and gone, I want to build my own community and curate to the extent I can with my meager HP. It may not happen soon, but it will soon enough. I keep moving forward, and if you're reading this and feeling the same way, you should too.
