Careful!!! A pressure valve ...

in Reflectionslast month

Anger, is the discharge of disharmony, it is not the creator of it. It's a natural emotion, because it's very natural to get angry, indignant, enraged sometimes.

It's even good to do it. That is, it works if what you want is to live a harmonious life. Although sometimes you think that anger is like a disrupter of the human condition, because of the emotional discharge it implies.

That for me is the only function of anger, it is conceived in us humans, as a pressure valve to release negative energy., it is not the release of negative energy but the way we release it that gets us into trouble. Because of the way we express it and that it often causes us so much concern.

From my experience...I remember as if it were today...

... When I was a teenager, I was a somewhat rebellious young woman, my parents took me to therapy with a psychologist and there I learned in individual and group therapy, that there are many ways to release anger, fury, anger that do not involve any kind of violence, neither physical, nor verbal. Learning was a sign of maturity in this other way, in anger management classes.

I remember, when that emotion came because something didn't please me I would just grab a racket and hit some mats many times until the pressure came off, or I would start hammering nails on a board 😂.

Then I learned to meditate and to practice yoga, it's simply to make new choices about how we are going to express anger, based on new decisions of what event? or who? it causes me disharmony.

After that stage in my adolescence I understood, that anger is not a negative emotion, because I learned to release it, it's not easy to get rid of something you don't want, to live a harmonious life.

Therefore, since anger is a positive energy because it goes hand in hand with harmony, we can express it by its healing qualities since you can enrich any moment with your people: like family, work, even partner, do you know why? Because it is a product of authenticity and truth, and there is no greater healer than that, no shorter path to harmony.

Now, pathological anger that is exercised through physical or verbal violence, does a lot of harm, instead of healing. An injury cannot heal an injury, no matter how much effort is made trying.

Without a doubt, there are too many images of violence in movies, TV shows, on social networks that show violence, for example: comics and video games are a constant barrage of violence in all unimaginable ways, which can have some effect on human behavior that conceives violence as an acceptable means of resolving our earthly conflicts.
