I don't have time... is there any confusion?

in Reflections3 months ago

There is a very big confusion of always saying "I'm very busy" I don't have time for other things, for that reason I am very productive.

Faced with this confusion, it is always necessary to ask how are the results and how do we feel about it? Because suddenly, we are not taking into consideration the priority scale, or we are executing tasks that are not within our competence, or doing some other things.

Have you ever felt that everything you have planned in your personal or work schedule is full of sliders... running and running everywhere, and you go back and forth to end the day exhausted, emotionally and physically worn out, ... but at the same time you feel that you have not made progress in what is really important.

It's always good to ask ourselves what happens when the day ends? Because contrary to what you really should feel when the sunset comes something like: "drained", that is, discharged and fluid, then you are productive because productivity "is never going against yourself". That happens because many times we confuse being without time, against the clock for being so busy with being productive.

The difference is simple "being busy" allows us to drain, to be equivalent, to flow, and being productive expands us in everyday chores. This applies to everything.

If we see that the routine does not leave us time for ourselves, if we arrive at the end of the day without energy, without space for our relationships with our partner, children, family, friends and incidentally, without taking care of our well-being, then, we are not being productive, we are only wearing down our mental, emotional and physical health.

True productivity is not measured in "doing more" but what it adds to our life, to our goals, without ceasing to take care of ourselves on our way.

We must have clarity in our actions and take a daily balance and ask at the end of the day if our way of living is getting closer to more well-being?... Or, just more tired? Because at the end of the day, authentic productivity is the one that only allows us to grow, enjoy and live with purpose.

I deeply love my purpose, to encourage people who are in my personal or professional environment to trust themselves, to recognize their value and achieve their own purposes. I visualize myself reaching an age of more than 70 years, I am still in the sixties, with a full heart, traveling this path, serving life every day, that makes me feel happy, grateful and committed with every step I take.

Words are not enough to give thanks when happiness, which by the way, does not fall for free from the sky, is trained, and that, floods my heart, just as I enjoy in the Sierra Nevada national park in the Andean cordillera, that's the Mirror Peak in Merida, Venezuela. It is located at the fifth and last station of the cable car system, and its altitude is 4,765 meters above sea level.

That nightly check you suggest, asking whether I’m moving toward well-being or just piling on fatigue, really lands. I’ve started ending my day by naming one real win and one thing to drop tomorrow, and my energy’s already better. My to-do list once tried to unionize, so this truce helps. Got a tiny ritual you love for those days that sprint away?

To strengthen my soft skills, how to give myself a moment of complete silence, to say gentle words to myself or to have small acts of kindness with myself, such as taking a bath with warm water and connecting with my affection.

Thank you for your kindness and reading my work. Have a great first week of September.

I love how concrete those practices are. Tonight I’ll add a two-minute quiet pause before my win-and-drop check, and finish with one kind sentence to myself. On heavy days I’ll treat a warm bath as a reset, not something I have to earn. Thanks for the gentle nudge, and may your first week of September feel spacious and kind.

And I get the joy of knowing that my contents add up to you! May beautiful things happen to us this September. Thanks a lot, let's share it, to help others.🌹

Your words already nudged my evenings in a kinder direction. I’ll pass the reset idea forward and report back at month’s end on how the two-minute pause goes. May September surprise us with quiet wins and steady energy. Thanks for sparking this little ripple.

Thankssss 🌹 You so much @riyat

I was really inspired and impressed by this words of yours, "True productivity is not measured in doing more but what it adds to our life, to our goals, without ceasing to take care of ourselves on our way.

Also recognising our values in other to achieve our purpose should be a priority to everyone.
Thank you @janitzearratia

Let's keep turning on lights along the way. Thanks to you for your kindness @samarijr0

I find your words very motivating, and I think you're right—we should take stock at the end of each day. I think we should see if we are being productive or just thinking we are, and if our quality of life is improving or suffering. Any introspective analysis on our part, if sincere, would be very revealing and useful. This is my opinion on the matter.

That clarity is everything to live by choosing ourselves and understanding that the healthy limits are in self-love.

Happy start of September 🌻
