RE: Beautifully Made

I’d like to share my perspective on this matter. I’ve noticed that people go to great lengths to protect their material possessions—using alarms, security cameras, fences, and locks to ensure no one can easily access their property. Yet, when it comes to the spiritual—self-esteem, self-concept, or how we view ourselves, which is far more important—many tend to leave it unguarded. Anyone can come along, offer an opinion, and that alone can be enough to ruin a day when we initially felt great and focused on our dreams.

This happens because we often value others’ opinions more than our own, more than our self-love. We frequently fail to protect our emotional well-being with the same care as our material possessions. Life is an opportunity to be happy and enjoy it to the fullest, because decline, illness, and the end will come. This is our life, and it’s our duty to believe in ourselves.

Today, I was reflecting on this while writing a post about the great Phil Collins—I invite you to read it. A pleasure to share these thoughts with you. Warm regards.
