Welcome to Introvert Talks!
"Introvert Talks" is meant to be a new initiative or theme, where I myself as an introvert, just talk about reflections and thoughts about my life, or maybe share more personal stuff. :)
This is my weekly post under this "Introvert Talks" theme and let's see where it takes me and us.
First of all, Merry Christmas to whoever is reading this!
Secondly, why are you on Hive during the day of Christmas? Hahahaha.
For myself, I had a quiet Christmas all by myself, or rather, all to myself. On Christmas eve, the first half of the day was spent at work, and thereafter it was lunch followed by a session at the gym. Surprisingly the gym was more crowded (is everyone there to burn off their calories from feasting) than the usual. After exercising, I went off to chill at the pool. There wasn't much sun as dark clouds started to gather, as you could tell from the photo below. Nonetheless, still a nice view.

On the actual day of Christmas, which is today, I woke up early despite planning to sleep in. I booked a massage session to give myself some time to rest and relax, and thereafter, headed to a casual restaurant for lunch. That's grilled fish with herbs, along with mashed potatoes and corn niblets as sides. Locals would surely know where this is from. It felt a little strange to be the only one dining alone in the restaurant while everyone else were either with their families (parents with children), or with big groups of friends. I am quite used to it but I am still human after all - and the difference is more greatly felt during festive periods like these.

I then came across a small business selling pizza. I have been wanting to try the few times I walked past so today was the day. The slice was bigger than what I expected and it's actually quite delicious. Definitely will be back to try the other flavours.

Ok, this is not meant to be a food review post... But how could I not get my favourite matcha latte to end off the day? I am pretty selective when it comes to matcha lattes and this one is consistently good, though it's not as affordable compared to others. But it's worth it!

And now I am back home, sitting in front of my laptop typing this, while waiting for my laundry to be done. Hehe. And that's more or less my Christmas holiday. Feels like a typical Sunday actually.
Nothing fancy, just a quiet Christmas for me. And sometimes I wonder if it's scary to think that I could get used to it. I did enjoy my time, and the few activities I planned for myself, and I also had some good food and drinks, but at the same time, I wonder if this is unconventional for most people, who probably are spending time with their loved ones, holidaying in some touristy city, or partying at countdown parties. I guess to each his own.
I actually scrolled all the way back to see if I wrote something for Christmas last year and yes, I actually did! It's here. The title reads: Merry Christmas To Myself. Haha. I can only say history repeats.
So how was your Christmas? Was it a peaceful one or a busy one?
