Minimum and maximum expenses

Is happiness in money?

I decided to compare 2 different days of my life. One day I spent $3, and the other $3000. And compare my feelings.

Yesterday I spent $3. I bought a cold beer for $1.5 and walked to my garden. It was a hot day, +26 degrees and the sun warmed my hat as I walked. On the way I found out the prices of berries that people were selling by the road. Strawberries and cherries cost $7 for a three-liter bucket and blueberries cost $3 for 1 liter. I talked to people and walked on. I walked along the forest path, breathing in the smells of grass and trees, listening to the cuckoo and other birds. The forest is alive. I remembered my youth in these places.

I came into my garden and my wife dug up some potatoes and onions for me.

That evening I had a delicious dinner that cost me $0.

My wife and I were sitting in the garden, in the shade of a big tree, talking. Then we picked some raspberries, black and red currants. I also picked some hawthorn leaves for tea, after such tea I remember all the dreams I have at night :)

I walked home and bought a chicken for soup on the way for $1.50.
It was a beautiful day on my land. 26 degrees Celsius is not hot, because I know what heat is...

One summer day, I got off the plane and thought I was in a sauna. The temperature was +42 degrees in the shade. I flew in with my family for a vacation, but I realized that I would only have to relax under air conditioners :)

We booked a luxury room at the five-star Atlantis Hotel in Dubai. The room was $1000 per night, but then we got a room for $3000 without any extra charge. My wife said that the air conditioner was not working well. She always looks for the perfect in this life :)

There was delicious cuisine, several restaurants, a beautiful place and a view from the window. I drank a bottle of 50 grams of absolut vodka in the room and found out that it cost $20, what a price I thought. Every day from 5 to 7 pm alcohol was free at the hotel, but I sometimes slept at this time or read Hive lying in the room and looking at the ocean.

In the morning we went to the water park near the hotel and in the evening we swam in the pool. On the second or third day I had already acclimatized a little to this heat and was able to spend some time near the water :)

One day we took a taxi and went to Dubai Mall. I remember spending $1,800 there on dresses and handbags for my wife. I bought branded but inexpensive things, $150-300 per item. It was beautiful and not hot in Dubai Mall. I liked it. There were singing fountains on the street and a lot of people from all over the world.

And here are two different days. Two different years. Different expenses per day and different impressions. But I will never call my yesterday in the garden the worst day and one of the days in Dubai the best day.
Maybe next time I'll save $2997 a day :)

Sort:

I choose a vacation for $3. Comfortable weather, clean air, eco-friendly food and, only one trouble: mosquitoes in the evening, but is this a big problem, with so many advantages. Definitely - $ 3

I bought a cold beer for $1.5

Which one did you get? I've been sipping on some Armenian cognac during the evenings, with the balcony doors open and a nice breeze coming through into the room. Lovely summer weather!

1 liter of Lida light beer in a bottle. We have cheap beer here.

I like Armenian cognac. For 20 years I have been buying soft 10-year-old Akhtamar. And for my birthday I was given 20-year-old Nairi cognac.

I still need to try some of the cheaper Russian brands that I see here. I mostly drink Armenian brands at the moment.

Akhtamar

That is some good stuff. They have an apricot one that is really good. There's even a coffee one but I'm not so sure I want to try that one. At the moment I've been drinking Arshak 2, aged 5 years.
