Saludos y bendiciones, mi gente bella de @needleworkmonday. Un gusto visitarlos en esta nueva semana que nos regala Dios, empezando con este bonito lunes de costura, en donde se ha hecho costumbre en mi blog, pasar por aquí y contarles sobre mis aventuras en este ramo.
Hoy quiero mostrarles los avances que he tenido haciendo para mi primer short o pantalón corto para mí. Avances, porque a pesar de que es una prenda sencilla, la he venido haciendo por parte en el tiempo que dispongo.
Primero estuve haciendo un patrón de pantalón largo, ya que próximamente quiero hacerme uno así y como lo quiero ancho tipo palazzo y el short, también lo quería hacer holgado. Una vez que hiera el patrón completo, a mi medida sacaría el corto.
Cuando ya tenía realizado el patrón del pantalón largo, hice los ajustes para el corto y agregué los bolsillos. También lo quería con unas pinzas más anchas, así que lo corte por las pinzas y añadí como unos 5 cm más de ancho, tanto en el patrón delantero, como en el trasero.
Cuando me dispuse a colocar los patrones sobre la tela, que era de medio metro de largo, no me alcanzó. Era de noche y ahí quedó paralizado el proceso.
Al otro día fui a comprar más tela, y aunque todavía había de la misma, quise comprar otra que le combinara unicolor y dejar la estampada para una blusa que le hiciera juego.
Ahora, si llegando a casa, me puse a marcar los patrones en la tela, compré un metro y, como ven, el pantalón corto se llevó casi 80 cm, esto porque es corte alto. Este trabajo lo hice en el suelo, porque me gusta colocar todos los patrones sobre la tela y en la mesa que es redonda y pequeña, no me alcanza, aunque me cansa más, se me hace cómodo en lo incómodo.
Corte todas las piezas, la parte de la pretina, la parte de la cintura, la quería lisa, con pinzas en la parte de adelante y en la parte trasera con elástico. Para esto nuevamente me vi varios tutoriales.
Lo hice de manera diferente a cómo le hice los leggings a Arianna y les mostré por aquí hace días. Quiero ir practicando diferentes formas para ver cuál me queda mejor o se me hace más fácil.
Ahora era hora de coser. La tela era suave y escurridiza, por más que le ponía alfileres, se corría, así que varias veces tuve que descoser y coser para que quedara bien cuadrado.
Pero a pesar de todo, el pantalón iba muy bien. Les puedo decir que en la parte del elástico, cuando iba a pasar las 3 costuras para asegurarlo, la tela, al estirarla junto al elástico, se retorcía, no se veía derechito, pero no quedó tan mal, ja, ja, ja.
Como ven el pantalón ya está listo, se preguntaran porque digo que son avances, resulta que en la parte de atrás no me quedo bien, como le agregue tela para hacer pinzas y no se las hice porque le pondría elástica, creyendo que con esto quedaría el pantalón más ancho, si quedo más ancho, pero no como quería.
De todas formas se los muestro: por aquí por delante me quedo muy bien, pero por detrás se hace un pliegue extraño justo por el tiro del pantalón, esto debido a las pinzas que no le hice y tenía el patrón. Así que me toca descoser y hacerle las pinzas, ya les estaré contando.
Me tomé las fotos con la tela que usaré para hacerme una blusa para combinar este short, ¿se ve bien, verdad? No es el mismo tono, pero por ahí va.
A ver si me da la oportunidad. Primero tengo que hacerle los vestidos de bautizo a mis princesas, porque ahora también voy a bautizar a Ámbar. Así que tengo trabajo demás de aquí en Semana Santa con las costuras.

Pattern and progress of a shorts
Greetings and blessings, my beautiful people of @needleworkmonday. A pleasure to visit you in this new week that God gives us, starting with this beautiful sewing Monday, where it has become customary in my blog, to stop by and tell you about my adventures in this branch.
Today I want to show you the progress I have been making for my first shorts or shorts for me. Progress, because even though it is a simple garment, I have been making it in the time I have available.
First I was making a pattern of long pants, since I want to make one like this soon and since I want it wide like a palazzo and the shorts, I also wanted to make them loose. Once I made the complete pattern, I would make the short to my measurements.
Once I had the pattern for the long pants done, I made the adjustments for the short and added the pockets. I also wanted it with wider darts, so I cut it by the darts and added about 2 inches more width to both the front and back patterns.
When I got ready to place the patterns on the fabric, which was half a meter long, I couldn't reach it. It was nighttime and the process came to a standstill.
The next day I went to buy more fabric, and although there was still some of the same one, I wanted to buy another one that would match it in one color and leave the printed one for a matching blouse.
Now, if I got home, I started to mark the patterns on the fabric, I bought a meter and, as you can see, the shorts took almost 80 cm, this because it is high cut. I did this work on the floor, because I like to place all the patterns on the fabric and on the table which is round and small, it is not enough for me, although it tires me more, it makes me comfortable in the uncomfortable.
I cut all the pieces, the waistband part, the waist part, I wanted it smooth, with darts in the front and in the back with elastic. For this again I watched several tutorials.
I did it differently from the way I made Arianna's leggings and showed them here a few days ago. I want to practice different ways to see which one looks better or is easier for me.
Now it was time to sew. The fabric was soft and slippery, no matter how much I pinned it, it ran, so several times I had to unpick and sew to get it square.
But in spite of everything, the pants fit very well. I can tell you that in the elastic part, when I was going to pass the 3 seams to secure it, the fabric, when stretched next to the elastic, twisted, it did not look straight, but it was not so bad, ha, ha, ha, ha.
As you can see the pants are ready, you may wonder why I say that they are advances, it turns out that in the back it didn't fit me well, as I added fabric to make darts and I didn't make them because I would put elastic, believing that with this the pants would be wider, they were wider, but not as I wanted them to be.
Anyway, I show you: here in the front it looks very good, but in the back there is a strange crease just by the pants, this is due to the darts that I didn't make and I had the pattern. So I have to unpick and make the darts, I'll be telling you about it.
I took the pictures with the fabric I will use to make a blouse to match this short, it looks good, doesn't it? It's not the same tone, but that's the way it goes.
Let's see if I get the chance. First I have to make the christening dresses for my princesses, because now I am also going to baptize Amber. So I have some more work to do between now and Easter with the sewing.
