Nuevamente estamos por acá y esta vez es para mostrarles la última manualidad que hice; se trata de un libro para mi pequeño grandote, que tenía que exponer hoy en el colegio. Me encantaría decirles que lo hice con anticipación, pero no, jajaja. Anoche estaba a última hora haciéndolo y acá les comparto el paso a paso.
Hello, hello, craft lovers! We are back again, and this time I want to show you the latest craft I made. It’s a book for my "big little one" for a school presentation today. I’d love to tell you that I made it in advance, but no, haha! I was working on it at the last minute last night, and here I’m sharing the step-by-step process.
Vamos a comenzar despegando las hojas de la cartulina y vamos a ordenarlas derechitas para poder abrirle en la parte izquierda los huecos por donde iría más adelante el cordón.
We are going to start by detaching the cardstock sheets and aligning them neatly so we can punch holes on the left side where the cord will go later.
El siguiente paso es recortar las fotos.
The next step is to trim the photos.
Para la portada decidí poner dos fotos y, como la portada era una cartulina blanca, las fotos no se iban a ver mucho; así que las puse sobre una cartulina negra un poco más grande que la silueta.
For the cover, I decided to use two photos. Since the cover was white cardstock, the photos weren't going to stand out much, so I placed them over black cardstock that was slightly larger than the silhouette.
Luego comencé a pegar cada foto en el centro de cada hoja y comencé a escribir sobre ellas. Por ejemplo, el libro lleva su autobiografía, su familia, lo que quiere ser de grande, su viaje favorito y los lugares que frecuenta. Después de ver las fotos me di cuenta de que era mejor todo en papel fotográfico, pero bueno, era más caro, jajaja.
Then, I started gluing each photo in the center of each page and began writing on them. For instance, the book includes his autobiography, his family, what he wants to be when he grows up, his favorite trip, and the places he visits often. After seeing the photos, I realized everything would have been better on photo paper, but oh well, it was more expensive, haha!
Luego le puse el cordón dejándolo un poco flojo para que fuera fácil para él abrirlo.
Next, I added the cord, leaving it a bit loose so it would be easy for him to open.
Por último, le pegué un pedazo de papel con el nombre porque, escribiendo en una de las hojas, la tinta se traspasó para la portada. 😭
Finally, I glued a piece of paper with the name on it because, while writing on one of the pages, the ink bled through to the cover. 😭
Y para disimular las manchas, le hice punticos con el marcador verde y azul.
And to hide the marks, I made little dots with the green and blue markers.
