Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report: Second Place!

in Splinterlandsyesterday

Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we fight with other guilds for the fun challenge and rewards. This is our battle report for the week.

Overall Guild Rank: Second Place!

After our first place finish last week, the competition stepped up and we only managed second place. It was a huge victory by Silvercards Guild. They had thirteen more wins compared to our win record of 111. In comparison, we also had a respectable lead to third place guild, Team Possible Warriors.

Top Brawl Participants

I had a great brawl again. Like last week, I won seven games out of eight. This week, I had one more loss with a 7 - 2 win loss record. It's still a good result as I joined the 5th to 11th place top brawl performers in our guild.

Selected Games

Here I present two of the games that I won.

Game 1

The first game had Melee Mayhem, Unprotected and Lost Magic modifiers. It's time for melee units to shine and when it comes to melee, my choices are Fire (speed) or Earth (health). Fire is not available so I went with Earth. I had Dread Tafarian in front. His healing skill is great to keep him alive. Next is my gladiator card, Katrelba Gobson. Her Double Strike skill plus her two melee attack makes her a feared attacker. Lastly, Vicious Quilliun completed my team. I only had three units because the mana was low in this game, only twenty six mana.

My opponent chose Light. It was not a good choice because the summoner buffs the team with shield. The modifier Unprotected removes all shield so he will have no shield inspite of the summoner's skill. The Light tank is good but without her armor she is outlasted by Dread Tafarian's healing. My team first defeated the opponent's back line and then concentrated on the opponent's tank to win the game.

Game 2

In game 2 I was the one with the Light element. I depended on Captain Katie's three magic attack. In this game, Twice Yester Knight is more effective with shield. She deflected some physical attacks while my back line attackers went to work. My opponent had the water team but didn't use any magic cards. All his attackers used physical attacks which my team defended against with their shield.

Spending the Rewards

I bought two packs and only got an epic card, Marisol Contuma. Next to Captain Katie, this epic card is one I use most in my games when I have the Light element. The other cards are good too and I'll add them to upgrade my existing ones.

Conclusion

We earned 4,778 merits and 35 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.

Join a Guild

If you are a player with few cards in your deck. Join a guild that can assist you to grow in Splinterlands. You can join brawls to earn SPS, enjoy reward multipliers and shop discounts. Since joining a guild, I'm adding my cards by buying from the shop and the market. This makes the game more fun and add progression. If you're not a guild member yet, now is the time to find one.

As a guild member do your part by having the right cards and showing up in the fray you have joined in brawls.
