Splinterlands Guild Shop Explosion: Opening 3 Gladius Cases and Collecting Some Awesome Cards!

in Splinterlandsyesterday (edited)

One of the most exciting moments in the Splinterlands game is opening a pack. And if that pack is a 'Gladius Case', then the excitement level increases even more. Those of us who play Guild Brawl know how hard it is to accumulate Merits and buy these packs. Today I opened 3 Gladius Cases with my accumulated 6,000 Merits, and I am very happy with the results!

In today's article, I will discuss in detail the cards I got from these 3 packs and their powers.

Why are Gladius Cases special?

Gladius cards are much more powerful than normal cards because they all have a special ability or power, which is called "Bloodlust". Due to this ability, whenever this card kills an enemy card, all its stats (Melee, Magic, Speed, Health) increase by +1. So these cards are very important to win in Brawl Battle.

Pack Opening Breakdown

I bought a total of 3 packs from the Guild Store for 2,000 Merits each. Below are the details of my pack opening:

First Pack Surprise (Captain Katie!)

I was surprised as soon as I opened the first pack. From here, I get:

Captain Katie (Rare Life Unit) - This is the best card in this pack.

Alfredo (Rare Water Unit)

Chimney Wallstop (Common Fire Unit)

Witch of Warwick (Common Death Unit)

Helmet Kharafax (Common Life Unit)

The first pack was the jackpot for me because 'Captain Katie' is one of the strongest magic attackers in Life Splinter.

Second Pack Results

In the second pack,k I get some duplicate cards that will help me level up my cards:

Liza Fox (Rare Death Unit)

Alfredo (Rare Water Unit)

Witch of Warwick (Common Death Unit)

Whistling Damon (Common Death Unit)

Chimney Wallstop (Common Fire Unit)

It was great to get 'Liza Fox' here, because a good ranged attacker is very useful in Death Splinter.

Third Pack Conclusion

In the last pa,ckgotget that monster card from Fire Splinter again:

Chimney Wallstop (Common Fire Unit)

Alva the Crusher (Common Water Unit)

Hugo Strongsword (Common Life Unit)

Whistling Damon (Common Death Unit)

Liza Fox (Rare Death Unit)

The funny thing is, I got Chimney Wallstop in each of the 3 packs! This will really help me get my card to level 2 or higher.

Card Introduction and Analysis

Here's why the main cards in today's opening are so important:

  1. Captain Katie (Life Splinter - Magic)

The best find in today's opening is Captain Katie. It's a 7 mana magic attack card.

Powers: It has the 'Snipe' and 'Bloodlust' abilities.

Why it's the best: Because of its snipe ability, it directly targets the magic or ranged cards in the opponent's back row. And once it kills someone, its bloodlust is activated and it becomes unstoppable. It's a game-changer in high mana battles.

  1. Chimney Wallstop (Fire Splinter - Melee)

I got a total of 3 Chimney Wallstops from 3 packs. It's a huge metallic monster for 10 mana.

Powers: It has 'Reach' and 'Bloodlust'.

Usage: It goes well with 'Tarsa' or 'Conqueror Jacek' in Fire Splinter. Since it has a reach, you can place it right behind the tank (in the second position). From there, it can destroy the opponent. Its high armor and health keep it going for a long time.

  1. Witch of Warwick (Death Splinter - Magic)

I got 2 of these cards. It is a minor weapon for Death Splinter.

Ability: Its specialty is 'Life Leech'.

Strategy: When it reduces the enemy's health, its own health increases. When Bloodlust is added to it, it becomes almost impossible to kill it towards the end of the game. It is very effective in low mana matches.

  1. Liza Fox (Death Splinter - Ranged)

I got this card in the second and third packs. This 7 mana card has pretty good damage.

Usage: Death Splinter usually has a slow debuff. Lisa Fox can deal massive damage from behind. When Bloodlust is triggered, its ranged attack increases so much that the opponent's tank can be finished in one or two shots.

  1. Alva the Crusher (Water Splinter - Melee)

This card found in the last pack is a great defensive card for Water Splinter.

Powers: It has the 'Shield' ability, which reduces melee and ranged damage.

Usage: It can act as a great secondary tank on a Water team.

Overall, today's 3 Gladius case openings were very profitable for me. For 6,000 Merits, I got some cards that will greatly strengthen my Guild Brawl deck. Especially getting 3 Chimney Wallstop and Captain Katie was a stroke of luck.

For those who are new to Splinterlands or have joined a guild, my advice is to never waste merits. Save them up and buy Gladius cases. Because these cards are Soulbound, meaning they cannot be bought or sold, they can only be earned by playing. And there is no substitute for these cards to win in Brawl Battles.

See you in the next blog, with a new pack opening or battle strategy. Until then, keep fighting in Splinterlands!
