Motivation comes from GLINT!
Three types of Loot Chests, Rare Draws, Merits, Energy, Potions, Card Skins, Avatar Cosmetics—the list is getting longer and longer over time. Among all these listed items, there is a common token: GLINT. In the past, the reward token was DEC – a type of stablecoin in Splinterlands – then it was replaced by SPS, and today we have a combination of Glint and SPS.
Glint is a token that has been gradually gaining more attention from players due to the expansion of its utility. It's a real debate whether all this prominence should be given to an "auxiliary" reward token, because why not SPS or DEC, which are older in the game? Perhaps the goal is for each of them to have a unique purpose, and what cannot be done with DEC or SPS because it causes problems in their tokenomics ends up going to Glint.
The problem is that this idea of new content being tied to Glint is causing a shortage of the necessary token for all activities within Splinterlands. Since the cost of Rarity Draws and Loot Chests has increased considerably with the addition of new rewards and improvements to Jackpot chances, upgrading your DECK is becoming more difficult. Therefore, in addition to increasing the amount of Glint Boost by renting/buying more Special Points (SPS), the other solution is to seek key improvements to the player's deck.
Deck Upgrade - Why Quix the Devious?
In this path of upgrading your deck, the most important thing is to have the best summoners available at the correct level for your available cards. Ultimately, it's pointless to have a summoner with a level far above your cards, or one below the level of your cards; there needs to be a certain balance. In that sense, the best summoners currently in terms of cost-benefit, for both Wild and Modern decks, are: Kelya Frendul, Thaddius Brood, and finally, Quix the Devious.
Knowing this for a while, I've already started working on improving my Thaddius Brood, since it's the second most used and Death cards are more accessible than Water or Dragon cards, making it a more solid choice to start with. Now, with both summoners at an intermediate level, the goal is to improve Quix, because the three of them together represent around 40% of the summoners used in the game.
Just like with Thaddius Brood, the key here is patience. Anyone who buys anything immediately, whether it's a "physical" asset or a Splinterlands card, will end up paying extra if they want it right away, and will most likely lose that value when they sell it. To maximize the usefulness of the cards, you need to try to get them as cheaply as possible, and a practical tip is to use the BID function found in Peakmonster. The price difference can reach 50%, making patience very rewarding. In the case of Quix, the unit price is $1.60 and the bid is $1.10, meaning a difference of 50 cents per card.
Knowing this, and given the considerable difference between the listed Quix price and the bid, the strategy is to sell and reward the bid to acquire the next level Quix. The strategy is to list my Quix for sale on the marketplace at a higher price, again without rushing and practicing patience, to achieve the best long-term efficiency. Once it's sold, I can add extra value to acquire a higher level through the bid. The only problem with this strategy is that it's taking a long time, haha.

Dentre todos esses itens que foram listados há um token em comum entre eles, o GLINT. No passado o token de recompensa era o DEC - um tipo de stablecoin do splinterlands -, depois ele foi trocado pelo SPS e hoje temos uma combinação de Glint e SPS.
Glint é um token que aos poucos vem ganhando mais atenção dos jogadores, por conta da expansão da sua utilidade. É realmente um debate se todo esse protagonismo deveria estar sendo de um token “auxiliar” de recompensa, porque não SPS ou DEC que são mais antigos no jogo. Talvez, o objetivo seja com que cada um deles tenha um objetivo único e o que não puder ser feito com o DEC ou SPS por causar algum problema no tokenomics deles, acaba indo para o Glint.
A questão é que essa ideia de um novo conteúdo acabar sendo vinculado ao Glint está fazendo com que falte a quantidade necessária do token para todas as atividades dentro do Splinterlands. Como o custo dos Rarity Draws e Loot Chests aumentaram consideravelmente com a adição de novas recompensas e melhorias nas chances de Jackpot, para conseguir melhorar o DECK está ficando mais difícil. Com isso, além de aumentar a quantidade de Boost de glint alugando/comrpando mais SPS, a outra solução é buscar melhorias chave no DECK do jogador.
Deck Upgrade - Porque o Quix The Devious?
Nesse caminho de fazer um Upgrade no Deck, o mais importante é você ter os melhores summoners disponíveis no nível correto que você tem as suas cartas disponíveis. Afinal, não adianta ter um summoner com nível muito acima das suas cartas e nem um summoner abaixo do nível das suas cartas, precisa haver um certo equilíbrio. Nesse sentido, os melhores summoners atualmente na relação de custo benefício, tanto para Wild/Modern são: Kelya Frendul, Thaddius Brood e por fim o Quix The Devious.
Há um tempo sabendo disso já comecei a buscar melhorar um pouco mais o meu Thaddius Brood, já que ele é o segundo mais usado e as cartas de Death são mais acessíveis do que as de Water ou Dragon, sendo uma escolha mais sólida para começar as melhorias. Agora com ambos os summoners no nível intermediário, o objetivo é melhorar o Quix, porque apenas os 3 juntos representam por volta de 40% dos summoners usados no jogo.
Assim como no caso do Thaddius Brood, a dica aqui é paciência. Quem sai comprando qualquer coisa, seja algum ativo “físico” ou uma carta do Splinterlands, se quiser de imediato vai acabar pagando um extra e depois para vender vai acabar perdendo esse valor muito provávelmente. Para maximizar a utilidade das cartas, você precisa buscar conseguir elas o mais barato possível e a dica prática e utilizar da função do BID encontrada no Peakmonster. A diferença de preço pode chegar à 50%, fazendo com que a paciência seja muito recompensada, no caso do Quix, a unidade tá $1,6 e o bid tá $1,1, ou seja, uma diferença de 50 cents por unidade de carta.
Sabendo disso, como tem uma diferença considerável no preço do Quix listado e no bid, a estratégia é vender e recompenrar para conseguir o Quix do próximo nível. A estratégia é colocar para vender o meu quix no marketplace à um valor acima, mais uma vez sem pressa praticando paciência, para obter a melhor eficiência no longo prazo. Assim que ele foi vendido, eu posso colocar um valor extra para pegar um nível acima através do bid. O único problema dessa estratégia é que tá demorando rs.
