If you are creative and love to write, here is the link to the prompt. A very happy day to one and all.

No one in the village has seen the stars for a hundred years - until the night Charlie disappeared

Let me start the story with a beautiful picture. A serene village where people hardly had time to think. All engrossed in their own work. A peaceful climate, friendly people, purity in air with fragrance of flowers and fruits grown all over the village, fresh vegetables from one's own garden, and finally a disease free environment with no pollution.... all these proved to be an asset to that serene vilage. And above all, the live energy shared by Charlie, an youngster and a happy-go lucky person as called by villagers.

Charlie was such a lovable character and was also famous for his wit and Wisdom. A person with charm, always willing to help others and was always available for others. His very presence would make a dull environment more lively. A person who lives in the present, not worried of his future or his past.

Though Charlie was quiet famous in his village, nobody ever knew from where he came, as he lived all alone in a single hut. His life was a mystery for many, though curious nobody ever dared to dig into his past, as he kept each and everyone happy.

The only default one found in the village was the missing of stars for years. Though people are familiar with stars at other places, it remained as an untold mystery for many in their own village.

One interesting story of the village was, people came in and went but the sky remained still, with not a single star. To know the fact, scientists from all over the world travelled to this place, but returned perplexed.

Years rolled by, giving rise to new generations, while people's getting old on the other end. But to everyone's dismay Charlie remained the same... as always evergreen. No wonder, people believed he was a gift from Almighty.

Days turned to weeks, weeks to months and months to years. Years just kept rolling. One fine morning, as usual, people were quite busy with their scheduled work. Their was pin drop silence, the reason being the absence of Charlie for long hours. All of a sudden they felt some kind of emptiness filled the air and everybody stopped working.

Out of curiosity, they went in search of Charlie to his hut. But Alas, there he lay, silently in his bed breathless. All attempts to bring him back to life failed. Tears rolled uncontrollably from each villager. Last rites were payed for the dead soul, with full respect. Millions joined the prayer for his abode journey.

It was the night of his journey, when people felt something unusual was twinkling in the sky, they stared at the sky and understood at a spark that Charlie was the twinkling star sharing lights to many of the villagers for years. And now as he was gone for once and for all, thousand stars lit up in the sky.

The story is just a fiction to fit the story line. The picture is my own from my Samsung Galaxy A50 mobile, on one of my journey.
