Fun Fractional Storage

Normally I don't buy a lot of small, fractional gold. It's more cost-effective per ounce to save up and buy larger denominations so you pay less of a premium. That was until I saw a really cool 1 gram bar holder someone had made and shared on Reddit.

I found this on the Silverbug subreddit, so this particular design is for 1g Valcambi bars. That got me to thinking. Why not? They'd be easily accessible in a fun little holder.

Sure, it'd take up more space than getting a box designed to hold the bars in their assay card, but where's the fun in that? Part of the fun of being a stacker is doing what we like. We're preserving our wealth, but we're having fun with it while we do it.

Have you ever gone out of your way to stack gold or silver at a higher premium because there was a fun holder for it? If so, what was it?

The holders would come in handy for storage, or if you ever need to use your 1 gram bars of Gold as bartering tools…

Very true. I think I'm going to do it. 🙂

Well done on your daily Ecency leaderboard quest, @bulliontools! That custom holder makes small gold bars look incredibly impressive and worth collecting.

For small fractional gold, you need to buy at a small coin shop. I get fractional pieces at the exact same price as 1oz maples. But only at 2 small shops. Anyways, very cool idea, I may print one off.

I'll have to maybe try some pawn shops. My local coin stores are always on backorder on gold.
