I received some unexpected mail on Christmas Eve. It wasn't from my Secret Santa, but I'm sure that'll arrive soon enough. The mail delays from the Post Office have been especially bad this year. A package I sent to someone in Oregon was sent all the way to South Carolina for some inexplicable reason. If your package didn't ship via UPS, FedEx or some other private company then it was likely delayed or still hasn't reached you yet.
Imagine my surprise when I opened the mailbox and found a bubble wrap envelope in it. I saw the label was from the Littleton Coin Company and knew it was one of the coins I ordered. Let's see what I got.

This is a 1982 1/2oz silver George Washinton commemorative half dollar. I paid $11.95 for it using a promo code. Melt value alone is around $26 now that spot price is over $74/oz, so this was a steal!
You can sometimes find these Littleton promo codes online through a quick search on Google, Bing or Reddit. The only downside is the other non-silver coins they send you need to be sent back ASAP with their return label and a note to cancel the other coins. It's a small price to pay for heavily discounted silver for a small amount of effort.
