Una de las cosas cotidianas que más me aterra pensar que me pueda suceder, es estar en medio de una transacción P2P en Binance y que ocurra un corte de energía eléctrica.
Los que usamos Binance para el comercio P2P, sabemos lo importante que es la reputación para poder intercambiar nuestras criptomonedas por dinero fiat y viceversa.
De por sí, yo soy muy delicada cuando se trata de mi integridad. Mi palabra vale y mis acciones hablan por mí, no me concibo como alguien en quien no se puede confiar y sólo imaginar tener un comentario negativo por una falta mía, voluntaria o no, me inquieta.
Y aunque creo que debería ser más relajada en este sentido, siento que va contra mis principios.
Estoy segura de muchas de ustedes, a quienes leo con frecuencia, se identifican conmigo.

Ahora les cuento una anécdota que me pasó hace unos días.
Quería comprar algunos USDT a partir de mi moneda local, Bolívares (VES) en Binance, porque tenía la intención de comprar algunos Hive como inversión, porque este token eventualmente nos da sorpresas y sube considerablemente. Es una manera de resguardar mi dinero de la devaluación y, con paciencia, ganar algún dinerito extra.
Debo mencionar que es algo que hago con dinero que no necesite al corto plazo y sabiendo que no hay ninguna garantía de que el token suba, sólo me guío por la fe que tengo en el proyecto. Este tipo de decisiones son muy personales.
El caso fue que no había comprado antes a un usuario que solicita verificación, que por cierto, por lo general ofrecen mejores precios.
Pero como soy titular de mis cuentas y no tengo ningún problema en verificar mi identidad, quise intentar con uno de estos vendedores.

But since I am an account holder and have no problem verifying my identity, I wanted to try one of these sellers.

Tuve la fortuna de que el vendedor que me atendió fue amable y paciente. Al tomar la orden le indiqué que era la primera vez que compraba con verificación y que por favor indicara qué documentos necesitaba para la verificación.
Le envié la foto de mi cédula, pensando que sería un adelanto, pero no sirvió de nada, porque debía enviar una selfie sujetando mi cédula.
Ok, le pedí a mi hijo que corriera a buscar mi monedero y me saqué la foto solicitada.
Cabe destacar que yo tenía 15 minutos para completar la transacción en Binance. Sí, normalmente es suficiente, pero cuando no sabes lo que haces, no lo es.
El otro documento que debía enviar era un capture de pantalla de mi cuenta con mis datos personales o una referencia bancaria.
Pensé ok, está fácil, entro en mi cuenta mercantil, pero sólo aparece mi nombre en la pantalla, no mi apellido, así que debía solicitar una referencia en línea.
En la aplicación mercantil no se puede solicitar, al menos yo no encontré cómo hacerlo. El resumen del cuento es que finalmente conseguí tenerla por la página web, pero cuando se venció mi tiempo para depositar al vendedor.
Por fortuna el chat queda abierto y le dije al vendedor que ya tenía la referencia bancaria, pero que se ya la operación había sido cerrada por Binance.
Pensé que en el mejor de las casos él me diría: sí, me di cuenta, que pena, buenas noches.
Pero ¡NO! Me dijo: Vuelve a tomar la orden.
I was fortunate that the salesman who attended me was kind and patient. When taking the order I told him that it was the first time I was buying with verification and to please indicate what documents I needed for the verification.
I sent him a photo of my ID card, thinking it would be an advance, but it was no use, because I had to send a selfie holding my ID card.
Ok, I asked my son to run and get my wallet and I took the requested picture.
It should be noted that I had 15 minutes to complete the transaction on Binance. Yes, normally that's enough, but when you don't know what you're doing, it's not.
The other document I had to send was a screenshot of my account with my personal details or a bank reference.
I thought ok, that's easy, I log into my merchant account, but only my first name appears on the screen, not my last name, so I had to request a reference online.
In the merchant application you can't request it, at least I couldn't find how to do it. The long story short is that I finally managed to get it through the website, but when my time to deposit to the seller expired.
Fortunately the chat remained open and I told the seller that I already had the bank reference, but that the transaction had already been closed by Binance.
I thought that in the best case scenario he would tell me: yes, I noticed, too bad, good night.
But NO! He said: Take the order again.
Aliviada por la nueva oportunidad, genero la orden otra vez. Le paso los recaudos, transfiero el dinero y el me dice: Espera, chequeo que todo esté en orden y te libero los USDT.
Luego de un corto tiempo me escribe: Chica...
Se me hizo un nudo en el estómago y le respondo: Queeeeeee?
"La referencia bancaria que me pasaste, no es de la cuenta que transferiste", me responde.
Me dio dolor de cabeza. Tengo una cuenta corriente y una de ahorros en ese banco y cometí el error de solicitar la referencia equivocada.
Ni recordaba como pedí la primera y pensé que como ya le había pasado una, con la captura del mi cuenta, así sea sólo con mi nombre, era suficiente esta vez y fue lo que resolví hacer. No quería que otra vez se venciera mi tiempo y menos ahora que ya le había pagado.
Pero lo más cómico fue que cuando intenté enviarle la captura de pantalla, le envié una fotografía mía, ni siquiera natural, sino posando para la cámara. Busqué rápidamente como borrarla, pero ¡no hay botón para borrar los mensajes del chat!
Él respondió: "Toda una modelo" y yo quería que me tragara la tierra.
Sólo me disculpé por el error y le envié el capture del banco.
Poco después él liberó mis USDT.
Y así terminó esta historia, en la que mi estrés de fue de otro nivel, pero que afortunadamente tuvo un final feliz.

I didn't even remember how I requested the first one and I thought that since I had already passed one on to you, with the capture of my account, even if it was just my name, it was enough this time and that's what I decided to do. I didn't want my time to expire again and even less now that I had already paid him.
But the funniest thing was that when I tried to send him the screenshot, I sent him a picture of me, not even natural, but posing for the camera. I quickly looked up how to delete it, but there is no button to delete chat messages!
He replied, "Quite a model" and I wanted to be swallowed by the earth.
I just apologized for the mistake and sent him the bank capture.
Shortly after that he released my USDT.
And so ended this story, in which my stress was on another level, but fortunately it had a happy ending.

Trying something new has its risks, but it is necessary in order to grow.
