Espero se encuentren bien, ayer estuve leyendo la iniciativa ¿Pudiste estudiar lo que querías? Propuesta por @syllem, no dudé en querer compartirles esas experiencias y decisiones que se tiene en uno de los momentos más importantes de la vida: la carrera que definiría nuestro rumbo laboral. Por ello, quiero invitar a @yasmarit e @irenenavarroart a que participen también.
Cuando estaba en el último año de Bachillerato, nos hicieron un test psicológico para orientarnos a aquella carrera a fin a nosotros, algunas estaban claras de lo que querían tanto de la carrera como el mejor trabajar de una, mientras que otras no sabían hacia donde dirigirse, entre esas entraba yo, aunque si tenia la certeza de que una carrera de ingeniería o medicina no sería, aun así, mi tía seguía insistiendo en esta última por el promedio que tenía, pero no era lo mío. Para muchos de mis familiares, creían que me inclinaría en medicina veterinaria, por mi amor por los animales, de pequeña si tenía esos pensamientos, pero, luego de saber que tenia que meterle la mano a una vaca y todo eso, ah se me quitaron las ganas. 😂
Ya después quería algo que estuviera enfocado en el diseño gráfico, algo así, no obstante, las Universidades Públicas de mi ciudad no tenían una carrera de diseño y mi familia no contaba con los recursos para pagarme una privada y, la Universidad que daban diseño integral, quedaba en otro estado, como de 2 a 3 horas de distancia; aunque contase con transporte era bastante la distancia. La psicóloga al ver mi situación me recomendó otras carreras, como la mercadotecnia, topándome también con la Licenciatura en Artes Plásticas.
En ese entonces, no me llamaba para nada la atención, pero como había que poner 3 opciones en la OPSU, que es el sistema de censo que ayuda a entrar a una carrera sin pasar por un examen de admisión o algo así, terminé por agregar esa de segunda opción, la primera era la de diseño integral y otra más. Al final, fui seleccionaba a la de Artes Plásticas, pues con la otra no sabia que si porque si había que hacer una prueba de censo.
Eso me decepcionó, pero mi mamá me aconsejaba que estudiara por lo menos 1 semestre en la de Arte, para no perder el cupo, ya que es difícil conseguirla, y que después si no me gustara la congelara. Me decidí cursarla completa, pues me terminó gustando y, menos mal, porque con los tantos paros y las guarimbas, si me hubiese sido difícil en otro estado (agregando que no tenia como pagar residencia).
Para mi sorpresa y, por cosas del destino, mi prima me ha venido enseñando cosas del diseño y actualmente trabajo en eso; pues ejercer mi carrera en la ciudad, o en el país en general, resulta muy difícil y de poco campo, lo mejor de esto es que en la Licenciatura también dan materias de diseño y esas cosas, porque más allá de las artes puras, es materias relacionadas a lo audiovisual (si la carrera no esta bien orientada y no debería llamarse así), por lo que me dio las bases para hacer lo que quería (a pesar de todo si me gustaría ejercer un campo en los Museos). Más adelante si me gustaría también hacer un curso o diplomado de diseño o de videos profesionales, aunque con el trabajo y estar pendiente de mi mamá, resulta complicado con los costos, pero seguramente se me dará la oportunidad, mientras a continuar aprendiendo.

I hope you are well, yesterday I was reading the initiative Did you study what you wanted? proposed by @syllem, I did not hesitate to share with you those experiences and decisions you have in one of the most important moments of your life: the career that would define your career path. Therefore, I would like to invite @yasmarit and @irenenavarroart to participate as well.
When I was in the last year of high school, we did a psychological test to guide us to that career in order to us, some were clear about what they wanted both the career and the best work of one, while others did not know where to go, among those entered me, although I had the certainty that a career in engineering or medicine would not be, even so, my aunt kept insisting on the latter by the average I had, but it was not my thing. For many of my relatives, they believed that I would be inclined in veterinary medicine, because of my love for animals, as a child if I had those thoughts, but, after knowing that I had to stick my hand in a cow and all that, ah I took away the desire. 😂
Later I wanted something focused on graphic design, something like that, however, the public universities in my city did not have a design career and my family did not have the resources to pay for a private one, and the university that offered integral design was in another state, about 2 to 3 hours away; although I had transportation it was quite a distance. The psychologist, upon seeing my situation, recommended other careers, such as marketing, and I also came across the Bachelor of Fine Arts.
At that time, it did not call my attention at all, but as I had to put 3 options in the OPSU, which is the census system that helps to enter a career without going through an admission test or something like that, I ended up adding that as a second option, the first one was the integral design and another one. In the end, I selected the Plastic Arts, because with the other one I didn't know what to do because I had to take a census test.
That disappointed me, but my mom advised me to study at least 1 semester in the Art program, so as not to lose the quota, since it is difficult to get it, and then if I did not like it, I would freeze it. I decided to study it completely, because I ended up liking it and, thank goodness, because with the many strikes and the guarimbas, it would have been difficult for me in another state (adding that I had no way to pay for a residence).
To my surprise and, as fate would have it, my cousin has been teaching me things about design and I am currently working on it; since practicing my career in the city, or in the country in general, is very difficult and has little field, the best thing about this is that in the Bachelor's degree they also give subjects of design and those things, because beyond the pure arts, it is subjects related to the audiovisual (if the career is not well oriented and should not be called so), so it gave me the basis to do what I wanted (despite everything if I would like to exercise a field in the Museums). Later if I would also like to do a course or diploma in design or professional videos, although with the work and be aware of my mom, it is complicated with the costs, but surely I will be given the opportunity, while continuing to learn.
