It really gets interesting about the time when your past starts affecting how you see your present moments but doesn't that affect us all? It's almost a fact of life for anyone that's already above age 30.
Your childhood is valid weight on you. That is your reality changing, it changed you so much and defined who you are. The trouble in your home, the bitterness you still carry in your heart that marks you down.
Somewhere along that line, all the excuses of your past that makes you the way you are is no longer valid.
I think it was when I was 21, eating a lot on a Wednesday night at around 11:30pm, thinking about all the horrible things that happened to me when I was growing up that this epiphany came to me.
Healing is no longer something that is done to you, it is something that you do for yourself. You become your own therapist. There are days when you do not want to, but you do it anyway. Healing is something that teaches you how to hold two things at once. This first one should be to accept that this is how I was made and the second thing is the willingness to choose keep going forward and have your focus only on how you'll build my tomorrow.
I have to let you know that it's not something you can do immediately but you need to make the choice first.
