What is Conclave Arcana?

The game Splinterlands is card-based, meaning each player has a deck of cards to play battles. From time to time, a new set of cards is released, changing the entire game dynamic.

That’s exactly what happened in May 2025, when the new card set called Conclave Arcana was launched. I bought a few card packs to try out the new features, and this post shows how we can use these cards in battles to earn rewards in the #Splinterlands game that is #play2earn!

1. Opponent’s Match History

The first thing we need to evaluate when playing Splinterlands is the opponent’s battle history. This way, we can assess the evolution of the cards they own and especially if they have favorite cards. Knowing this helps us identify a trend and prepare for the best possible scenario.

In this battle, I faced the opponent ATITAQ, whose history showed very different matches using a variety of cards, offering no relevant insights. However, all their summoners were level 1, which might explain why they are losing more than winning.

2. Ruleset Analysis

Now we need to look at the battle rule changes: the so-called Ruleset! In this case, we’ll see some interesting modifications:

In this battle, the rules are modified as follows:

• Melee Mayhem allows melee attack cards to attack from any position. This suggests that opponents may use melee cards more frequently.
• Mana: 35 points is enough for a medium-sized battle.

With this in mind, I can now choose my summoner, which is the next step in building the strategy.

3. Strategy Setup

Based on the summoner-type cards I own, I’ll now define the battle strategy. I’ve been on a streak using magic cards, and since my opponent has level 1 summoners across the board, I’ll stick with this path. My magic summoner is also level 1, so it’ll be a fair match.

Marlai Singariel is a summoner that grants +1 magic attack to all team members. I don’t usually like using them because they’re still level 1, limiting my other cards to level 1 too. The risk here is mitigated as I expect my opponent to also use a level 1 summoner.

This is my team from left to right. I kept as many magic attackers as possible: absolutely all of them. I even took advantage of two who also have melee attacks, making them dual attackers. That’s great because it feels like I have more fighters on the battlefield!

Placing the two problematic cards at the front and back was intentional: I expect them to be eliminated before they can cause damage to my own team due to the Electrified ability, which causes damage starting in the second round.

4. Battle

Round 1 begins and we find that we have much to celebrate! The opponent also went with magic, and their summoner grants +1 magic attack point, so we can say it’s a fair match! Victory would come down to the better strategy!

From what we can anticipate, our strategy is superior, as we used five magic cards, all of which gain a power boost, while the opponent only has two magic attackers! Maybe a lack of proper cards influenced their summoner choice.

Down two cards, the opponent enters round 2 with hopes of victory, only to be quickly brought back to reality after losing three more cards, paving our comfortable path to victory.

Our strategy proves to be very effective, helping us gain important ranking points.

With the victory, we received +158 GLINT and +0.234 SPS, which will help grow my account. I’ve been buying Conclave Arcana packs weekly and plan to keep doing so to expand my card options.

Eu comprei alguns packs de cards para poder experimentar as novidades, e esta postagem mostra como podemos usar esses cards em batalhas, visando ganhar as recompensas desse jogo #Splinterlands que é #play2earn!

Roteiro Estratégico CrazyPhantomBR

1. Histórico de partidas do adversário

Primeira coisa que precisamos avaliar quando vamos jogar Splinterlands é o histórico de batalhas do adversário. Assim podemos ver como está a evolução dos cards que ele possui, e principalmente se tem cards favoritos. Sabendo disso, podemos estabelecer uma tendência e dessa forma nos preparamos para o melhor cenário possível.

Nesta batalha eu enfrentei o adversário ATITAQ que teve como histórico partidas bem distintas usando uma variedade de cards que não permitiu extrair nenhuma informação relevante. Contudo, todos seus invocadores eram de level 1 o que pode me ajudar a entender porque ele está perdendo mais do que ganhando.

2.Análise do Ruleset

Agora devemos observar as modificações das regras de batalha: o chamado Ruleset! Neste caso teremos algumas mudanças interessantes:

Nesta batalhas as regras serão modificadas da seguinte maneira:

• Melee Mayhem vai permitir que cards com ataque melee possam atacar desde qualquer posição em que estejam. Isso propicia supor que os adversários vão usar seus cards melee com mais frequência.
• Mana: 35 pontos são suficientes para uma batalha mediana.

Com isso em mente já posso definir meu invocador, que é o próximo passo na elaboração da estratégia.

3. Definição da estratégia

Com base nos cards que possuímos do tipo Invocadores, vamos estabelecer a estratégia de batalha neste momento. Estive em uma sequência de batalhas usando cards mágicos e como o adversário tem invocador level 1 para tudo, vou insistir nesse caminho. Meu invocador para cards mágicos também é level 1 então estaremos de igual para igual.

Marlai Singariel é um invocador que concede um ponto extra de ataque mágico a todos os membros da nossa equipe. Eu não gosto de usar pois ainda é level 1, o que limita todos meus outros cards a serem também level 1. O risco dessa situação é anulado pois espero que o adversário também use invocador level 1.

Minha equipe ficou assim, da esquerda para direita. Preferi manter o máximo possível de atacantes mágicos: absolutamente todos. E ainda aproveitei dois deles que tem ataques melee também, sendo atacantes com duplo ataque. Isso é muito bom pois parece que tenho mais jogadores em campo de batalha!

A estratégia de posicionar os dois cards problemáticos na frente e retaguarda foi intencional: espero que sejam eliminados antes que comecem a causar dano na minha própria equipe, devido à habilidade Electrified que causa dano a partir do segundo round.

O round 1 abre e descobrimos que temos muito a comemorar! O adversário apostou em magia e com seu invocador concedendo +1 ponto de ataque mágico podemos dizer que estamos em uma batalha justa! A vitória seria obtida pela melhor estratégia!

E pelo que podemos antecipar, nossa estratégia é superior pois usamos cinco cards mágicos, sendo que todos terão acréscimo de poder de ataque, enquanto o adversário só tem dois atacantes mágicos! Talvez a falta de cards adequados tenha sido crucial para sua escolha do invocador.

Já com dois cards a menos, o adversário inicia o round 2 com perspectiva de vitória, sendo logo trazido a realidade pois perderá três cards, o que nos levará de forma confortável a vitória.

É muito efetiva nossa estratégia e conseguimos agregar pontos importantes no ranking.

Com a vitória recebemos +158 GLINT e também +0,234 SPS que vão ajudar a crescer minha conta. Tenho comprado packs Conclave Arcana toda semana e pretendo continuar assim para melhorar minhas opções de cartas.
