My aunty @jmis101, who is my onborder, invited me to make an entry to week 3 of The Hive Garden QOTW.
I live in the city with my parents and siblings. Our apartment is upstairs without any other space for gardening.
Last week, we travelled to our hometown, and I enjoyed my stay there.
I had an opportunity to do the things I couldn't do where we live.
For example, freely going to our backyard to pick various types of fruits like mangoes,star apple, and avocados.
I also followed my uncle to our garden to harvest cassava tubers.
I noticed my uncle loves gardening a lot and has lots of gardens, both the ones he is currently planting and the ones we harvest tubers from.
I and my siblings followed my uncle to a garden he planted various crops like corn, okra, and cassava.
When we went there, he was trying to weed the farm as he said the weeds aren't allowing his crops to grow well.
My phone camera is not that bright bit from the photo. You can differentiate between the weeded part and the ones with lots of weeds trying to outgrown the crops.
We helped our uncle remove some weeds by handpicking the weeds close to any crop and using a hole to weed a clear place without any crop.
We made my uncle not to be fast in his weeding for the day according to him because he had to teach us how to do it and show us the ones that are plants that we shouldn't remove.
This is my brother happy to help out in the garden.
I and my siblings were just excited and happy to help out.
Though he sent us back afterwards saying he could finish up with the remaining portion.
From my little experience, gardening is so much fun and exciting.
Especially when you look back at your crops doing well from what you have achieved to the time of harvesting healthy and plentiful crops.
I could say my uncle is doing great work at home with his gardens.
