RE: Harvesting summer pears

The VODENJAK looks so perfect and beautiful, exactly what you would find in the shops.

You'll be making a lot of jam and juicy with so many pears. What else do you make with them to make sure they don't go to waste?

Sort:

We make compote and I don't know what it's called in your country, I'll explain it like this: we bring sugar and water to a boil and cut the pears into cubes and pour lemon juice over them so they stay white. When the sugar and water are thick enough, I add the pears and cook without stirring for about half an hour. I pour it into jars and it's a pleasure for me with my morning coffee. I make it with almost any fruit, the rest of the pears go into brandy

I'm not sure, I think it's also called compote. You're going to end up with a lot of them! Do you sell them? Or eat them all yourself?
