We make compote and I don't know what it's called in your country, I'll explain it like this: we bring sugar and water to a boil and cut the pears into cubes and pour lemon juice over them so they stay white. When the sugar and water are thick enough, I add the pears and cook without stirring for about half an hour. I pour it into jars and it's a pleasure for me with my morning coffee. I make it with almost any fruit, the rest of the pears go into brandy
I'm not sure, I think it's also called compote. You're going to end up with a lot of them! Do you sell them? Or eat them all yourself?
