Hi, I am Arveno from Surabaya city. In this content i want to share about bad news from my son about his medical condition. Even though it is not critical moment but his medical is kinda on the verge since his airway can be blocked when he sleep and its called sleep apnea. This is serious problem to the brain when other people (in this case me and my wife) not aware when he is not breathing. The brain can be corrupted or shut down or even worse death. But, mostly it can make high blood pressure, lack of oxygen in brain and it will be make brain fog often. Thats why i want to know more about this medical condition on my boy.
So, my mom was give me reference to go to one Doctor that really good with Otorhinolaryngologist. My mom said that this doctor can founded the disease that infected my grandma for a long time and can be cured. Thats why my mom reference him. At first i am doubting since right now the doctor is really old and also the hospital where he practices is one of the best hospital and expensive hospital. But, my mom insisted me and force to go there and said that she will give the money for check up.
Okay first i park in the wrong side. This hospital is new right now after some accident back then in 2019 i guess. So, i need to crossing the old building first before going to new building.
And when in Lobby i dont have any courage to take a picture. There are really crowded and really luxurious. There are 2 coffee shop with 2 famous and expensive branded and 1 luxurious cafetaria and also bread store also expensive branded too.
So, we are going to our destination that is Otorhinolaryngologist in floor 5.
This is the watiting room when in queue for paid and registration to make appointment with the doctor. Looks luxurious right?
In this point i still hestitate to registration. I really afraid that i cannot afford this doctor appointment especially when the doctor do something. But, i think it is already too late for that. Lets do it anyway. I will paid using credit card. with this my mom also can delayed the payment if the medical bill is too high.
After all registration done, we are going to Otorhinolaryngologist area and waiting the doctor came. It took almost half hour until the doctor came.
And after came the doctor said that he still doubting the result and need to do x rays on my son face.
The adenoid on my son nose is really big and almost blocking his airways. But, the good news is his tonsils is fine. So, then we are going to queue on X-Rays area. In this area we are waiting more than an hour until my son got called.
Since this is the first time i am entering X-rays area then i just take a picture. But, after that me and my wife was expelled to go out from this room. Maybe it will distrubing the result but i really dont know about that. The process of X ray is really fast and the results came fast too especially when i said to the nurse that the doctor has been waiting for the result.
And turns out the result is really really bad. So, the first doctor said that my son need to be operated is true. The Adenoid on my son is really big and almost blocking his airway. And also what make worsening is he got sinusitis and need to be cleared and sucked before the infection is worsening. And trully after I already made a decision to buy a house. I really dont have another money for this surgery. It cost almost 3k$ and i really dont have that much. And this doctor is really annoying when i ask this situation can be hold to how long. The doctor said that it is really urgent and push me to be operated as fast as possible. Dang!! why people always rushing when talked about money.
So, in the end i cannot make any decision. And I dont want to make any decision at all. I need to calm my mind first and thinking clear first. So far what i know is it need to do surgery. But, my logic is when the skull got bigger, is the adenoid will follow bigger or not. Thats the question that i need to know the answer first. If not, i think i will wait until he got a little bit bigger. I really can't bear it to see my son on operating room. And also i am really afraid if something happened to him when he got surgery. And the second yeah i need to saving the money first since i really dont have money at all for surgery. My plan right now is got as many as possible money that i can collect and i need more information about this surgery. And also i need to know how much success rate for this surgery when using state insurance. This is indeed sad news but i still grateful that this is not fatal one and it can be wait i guess.
